Actually Are You Sad is comparable to a SP song... "Blew Away" or something like that? I can't remember the exact name but the guitar sounds somewhat similar and a lot of SP fans thought OLP ripped it off.

Yeah, that song sounds strikingly similar, and I seem to remember it causing a big fued. But other than that they're completely different.

I don't see how a musical group can sound like a pumpkin. I mean, that mo'fo pumpkin just sits in its patch growing. Then BOO-YAH! Halloween comes and it gets carved!

I'm not a big Pumpkins fan so I don't really know any of their songs except for what I've heard on the radio, but from what I've heard, I don't hear much of a similarity. However, when I played a few songs from Clumsy for my guitar teacher, he said that they reminded him of the Pumpkins (I think he made a perticular mention of a similarity in the vocals, I could be wrong there though)

I think Clumsy (the album) is the most Pumpkin-ish OLP album, and overall it's not very Pumpkin-y anyways. They're both cool, in two entirely different ways (though Raine IS a better writer than the over-hyped Corgan)

i disagree, Corgan's lyrics are better then Raine's in my opinion
