Joel Shearer is the New OLP Stunt Musician Guy

Joel Shearer of the band Pedestrian has been confirmed by OLP.net as the new 5th guy. He will be touring with OLP on the HIPT tour and also played on the new CD.

Welcome to the band, Joel!

This was posted in the "Where Are You?" video thread, so if you feel if the thread's unnecessary, do bad things to me.

Hmm looks like that Joel Shearer dude is a busy guy. Wish they would've brought back Mike E.

He did all the good guitar work at Live 8 (it looks like Steve only played rythem, while Joel did all of the complicated work). I like him.

I wonder what the reasoning for this is.

On Innocent, Joel did the little riff that Mike E. always used to play, but on "Where Are You"? it looked like Steve pulled a "Mike-Turner-during-Life" type of deal.

Exactly. I never understood why the guest musician did the technical work. There is one (stupid) reason. It's easier to "rock out" and "look cool" when you're playing rhythem guitar.

Nah. Mike T did the rhythem guitar live on some songs well after Jamie was an established "unofficial" member.

Is anyone else sort of scratching their heads going "What happened to the We are a four piece band now"..

It seems they went to five piece to add something more to their sound. Had the 5th member. Both Mike E and Jamie were assets to the bands sound on and off stage.. Then they say we are goiing back to a four piece on next cd only to see they indeed got another member. Maybe it was too much for Raine to do all the extra guitar parts. Who knows? I jsut find it odd how they wanted to go back to four piece, but didn't in the end.. :nod:

They should bring back all the extra peeps for one show only!! Joel, Rob, Jamie, Mike E.. that'd be wild!!

When I say bring them back, I also mean no Raine, Duncan, Jeremy or Steve.. so you're missing some drums and vocals but I think it'd still be neato!

haha . that could be a whole new band. Rob, Jamie, Mike E and Joel..

I wonder what happened to Mike E, and Rob though.. ? Rob keeps changing bands so you never know when you might see him.. :lol:

I forgot about Doctor.. The last band I knew he was in was The Royals.

aww Rob. He was so nice. I liked him.. I keep forgetting I didn't see Duncan on that tour...
