i loved it. it really throws you for a loop at the end and it is somewhat cliffhanging.

and i think outside of the matrix trinity is really pretty. yeah.

I thought it was awesome. I didn't expect it to end so abruptly.

If you wait until the credits are over, there's a short trailer for then next one.

neo fucking rocks.

the matrix series are the greatest movies ever made, ever, period. ever.

period.

fuck yeah.

a. neo did not create the matrix. he is the result of a systematic anomaly.

b. the storyline did not suck. in fact, i found the storyline to be far more indepth philisophically then the first.

c. your experience of this movie will depend on how you view it. if you are looking for a popcorn sci-fi movie, you will be disappointed. if you are expecting more mindblowing special effects then the first, you will be disappointed.

however, if you enter this movie viewing it for what it truly is -- an allegory for the real world -- you will be thrilled. the movie was excellent. it raised several more interesting and empowring philisophical points. it was incredible.

this is a thinking movie. you must think in order to properly enjoy it. please, when you watch any movie from the matrix series, remember to think about how similar it is to our real lives.

hmm...did anyone get weirded out by the sex in a brick oven part? the movie was kinda weird with all that sexual stuff.

that scene didnt fit in at all. having a sex scene is one thing, but dragging it on for a hole 5 minutes with the rave and the funky music seemed so out of place.

I can't believe Keanu gave up ALL his earnings he would've gotten for Reloaded just to make the project happen.

And is letting them keep the money for Part 3, that's freakin crazy, yo.

by starseed_10
he's doing them both for free?

thats fricking awesome.

I should've rephrased that......here's what, WHAT (not me haha) Keanu did.

He was supposed to get the huge payment (contract) for Reloaded, and he told them to keep that and use it for Part 2 because they wound up going WAY over budget and the money was a definite savior.

He then told them to keep any money he would've made from the earnings on Reloaded, to use for Part 3.

Now THAT is dedication...

I just saw this movie... Damn...
This movie was nothing compared to the first one...
The action sequences were fun... even though i didn't like the Agent Smith Fight
But there were a few things that really shitted up the movie...
1 Orgasm Cake...
2. While needing to save the world Neo has to have sex and jumpstart Trinity's heart....
3 The Strange sex scene while we have the african 87 piece blue man group playing and its the strangest night club you'd ever see.

Also, why are all the natural humans black while there is no sun...

hmm... i think if black people really got darker from the sun, it would have taken thousands of years and therefore thousands of years to change again.

also, ya the jumpstarting of the heart wasnt so cool.... but the architect said she would die so maybe she had to to fit the storyline.

You people are all wrong.

1. Way better than the first.
2. Way way awesome. Way awesome!
3. Everyone on the screen is the definition of "sex" - especially Hugo Weaving; I nearly shitted myself on his first "Hello, Missster Andersssson."
4. The story was coo.
5. The special effects were ass-wompingly balletic.
6. Did I say way awesome? WAY AWESOME!
7. Way better than the first one - SO way better. Way better!

Okay, I coulda done without the sex scene/tribal dance. But other than that, let me quote our dear friend Keanu: "Whoa."

Let me Quote Liam: "STUPID FRENCH GUY AND HIS ORGASM CAKE!"

haha, I was sitting next to my friend who's a diehard Christian, and had a lot of, "Is this really necessary?" throughout that scene and the 5 minute sex scene.

I personally liked how they expanded on the love story between Neo and Trinity. It was important.

well it came down to:
Keanu: Trinity i Love You
*Carry-Anne beaten to shit brething heavily
Keanu: We can go save the world or make out
Carry Anne: Ahhh Fuck the world... it sucks anyway...

and did anyone else notice Neo killed like 80 people just trying to save trinity falling?

...... :wtf:

I have one word to sum up this movie.

the orgy scene did serve a purpose. it was right after the humans held that rally thing so it was like they were reveling in their humanity in a sort of primal, sexual, dance party thing. it was like their way of psyching themselves up for what was ahead and reminding themselves of what distinguished them from the programs they were about to face.

there were a few things about it that did bother me though. like how all the people were young and gorgeous and how the scene was clearly aimed, at least partially, to drive up the sex appeal of the movie. hollywood.

so what's the premise of the third movie going to be? i missed the trailor at the end. i'm guessing that it has something to do with the matrix spreading into or becoming apart of the non-matrix world though. otherwise how could neo have stopped those things flying at him at the end? his powers shouldn't have worked in that world... unless it was also becoming a part of the matrix.

and yeah the movie really did make me think a lot about the real world. especially the whole war on iraq. they kept saying things like by fighting now we can end the war forever, one of bush's favorite justifications for the attack on iraq. and plus there were all the innocent people dying in the wake of all the mayhem (the people in the cars, the people who had been turned to smiths, the explosions) but i'm guessing that we're supposed to justify their sacrifice being for the greater good of humanity, probably something else that bush would like us to think about the innocents getting killed in the wake of our real life war. so i guess the matrix reloaded kind of struck me as a type of carefully planned war propaganda.

and then the whole thing with the choices kind of reminds me of existentialist ideals. although there is perhaps too much religious suggestions of "providence" in the movie for it to be an existentialist film. but still the whole thing about how you have to take control of yourself and how you must make all your choices for yourself.

but yeah, overall, good movie. i got a lot out of it.
