I'm in Istanbul and would looooove to see OLP. Haven't seen them since I left! London might be too far for me though, hopefully they have an expanded euro tour sometime soon that comes closer to me. Highly doubt they would come to Istanbul, but I would be the loudest and proudest there if they did!

Make it happen! Istanbul actually has a very rich musical culture. If you have time, check out the documentary Crossing the Bridge, it's excellent.

For the presales, will we just get an email from the mailing list? I've been getting presale codes for the US dates, am desperate for UK tickets - been waiting almost a decade to see them!!!!

Any info on UK presale would be hugely, hugely appreciated.

My graduation is the 3rd July - So I'd be pretty darn tired, but I must go!!!

Great news!

Being so close to July 1st I wonder if they'll also headline the Canada Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square. It's a free event over here, Blue Rodeo played last year.

Seconding the request for any info on other UK shows. I just can't afford to go to London right now, but I'm dying to see them, so I'll be gutted if that's the only show they play. :uhh:

I am looking into it. BA is having a sale now. It all boils down to money for me. I would be doing other things so have to see what this would run me. I would love to go to Italy if they played there. Loved that country. I know people who live there who are going. Iam sure there will be some kind of meetup.

Where is this located? Is it a new place cause I do not recall anything by this name ..

i would t hink they would do other shows. FANINOR is right. They played Europe opening for Avril in March 03..I saw them in Uk/France in Fall 02. That was their own shows.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

You're not the only one to want a show in Italy! :duncan: I know from someone :P that the band want to come in Italy but is also true that here there aren't too much fans! I think however that also people from other countries will come here in Italy for a show...for example astute_99 that is in Turkey! Well we need to wait...Trusty can you update us if there will be some news? I NEED to see OLP and i decided that if they won't come to Italy i will go in other countries! Shit i want to see them live for the first time! I can't be a really fan if i will not see the guys live!

Do you know PAOLO? He lives there and one of OLP's biggest Italian fans. I know he came to Canada few years back to see them... Honestly rather see them in Italy .. I need a reason( well not really) to get back over to there. What part you live in? One day want to cruise up Amalfi Coast. I went to Rome, Capri/Ana-Capri and Pompeii. Saw the BLue Grotto. That was gorgeous. Loved the men singing in Italian :)

oh an dyou are a real fan. There are a few artists from overseas I love who will never play here. SUCKS Big time so I understand your frustration

People may not realize this but except for the Burn Burn tour The Birdman has been done on every OLP tour( at least the ones I saw). BY that I mean for each cd they toured. Changed up many ways. 2003 they really stripped down to the point where it sounded like Raine was talking it instead of singing it. This was on the 3 Doors Down tour.. Best version for me though was the Birdman/Carnival mix. Oh the memories.

Not to mention Birdman appearing on the Live DVD with that amazing solo....that's the moment when I realized they got a good one when they got Steve. I remember being so nervous cause of how much I liked Mike, but seeing Steve rip through that made me so happy.

I suppose there is a reason they won't play some of the deep cuts, maybe because they just don't like them enough to play them. But I think on this tour we'll get lots of songs that they used to play or play rarely that we haven't heard in a while or very often. It will be interesting for them to play some of those old songs with this new energy they have. Thinking in particular of songs such as Neon Crossing, Denied, Stealing Babies, and Bring Back the Sun would be great to hear again. I also think that Paper Moon, Refuge and Escape Artist might survive as some of their newer selections because those are the songs that most resemble Curve to me.

No, you're right. I was just trying to think of a song that would suit Curve, and BBTS is pretty close. I do know that the guys really seem to love that song. My point is more about how since Clumsy/SM tour they've been reinvigorated by their back catalog and I'm personally interested in how those songs in particular would sound now :)
