this one?

Nope, it was live off the floor I think, they were all in a room together playing it. It was literally one of the first streams done, I don't think it has been recorded, shame

I've given it a couple more listens and it's growing on me. I think I need to approach this album from a different angle.

YES! this is key.

Trusty is there any part in Allowance where Raine is singing with just his falsetto, and not in the background?

That wolf clip is pretty sick now listening to it. I hope we get it one day. I almost wish we would have never heard a lot of stuff then we wouldn't know what we're not getting that we wanted.. ya know? :)
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

Based on my first listen of the Allowance snippet, I'm not too crazy about it. Still sounds like it could be pretty good though.

I will say though, whether it's good or not, it's nice to hear OLP trying something a little different again.

Loving all the clips that have come up so far, but not judging them yet either. Trusty was saying how the clips were carefully chosen. What I think this means is that all of these songs are going to have some "Wow" moments that they don't want revealed yet. (Ie: Heavyweight with the bridge/solo)

I liked the clip from Allowance. It's different, but not too bland. His voice still sounds like Burn Burn (trying too hard to make it sound deep, or something, like he's restraining it), but the music itself is interesting.

I figured this was the case, though the clips sound pretty good regardless. I'm expecting musical explosions. Speaking of which, I don't understand the video situation. I understand that you haven't heard anything and thus, are in no position to provide information. I just don't understand how Raine was so definitive in saying it comes out tomorrow and then somehow, there is a huge disconnect and it ends up getting pushed off the table. Let me make it clear, I know my life does not hang in the balance here. I'm also not being critical. Just a question. Being ambitious about his solo record is one thing (he said Tuesday by the way), but why be overly ambitious about a release date for a video.

I read somewhere that the Raine interview was being recorded for a different broadcast that will air next Monday. Perhaps he meant next Tuesday and was saying "tomorrow" because that's when listeners would be hearing the interview. Just a thought...

Kinda losing hope after listening to this clip. Find Our Way sounded meh, but listening to this...Raine sounds like he is bored and singing like he doesn't know how. Is that Fran Dresher doing the back up vocals? (facepalms hard) I hope I'm wrong.

I see. Good thinking. If that's the case, it's fair.

For me, the clips have been getting worse :(

FITHH is a huge disappointment as it's not The Wolf (they're obviously entitled to change it, but I loved the Wolf, and it seemed a lot of other people did, too)

Find Our Way really isn't my cup of tea - I really didn't like the Youtube clip before, and I don't like this :(

Allowance just sounds weird, too.

Now, as huge fans, I don't think we should judge an album by a few seconds worth of clips, but, I dunno - Heavyweight's 30 second clip gave me chills. 'Cause of the time difference, when the website changed and it uploaded, it was about 1am here, and I listened to it dozens of times before I went to bed. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, and made me really happy.

None of these 3 clips have done that.

Raine was technically on the radio after midnight on March 16, so by Heavyweight coming out tomorrow he could have easily meant St. Patrick's Day.

As for the "Allowance" clip, Fran Drescher? Ouch. I don't think it's that bad, in fact it sounds a lot like some backup vocals from SM, but I do agree that it seems he's just interjecting "falsetto" here and there in Curve's music without understanding or grasping the way he used to sing it. He's just put it there for the sake of it because he knows fans want it, but he's not actually singing at all like he used to before Gravity. I really like the music and flow of "Allowance", but I think Raine's new favorite word instead of satellite is now "heart", it's showing up in too many songs now. I also don't care for the way he vocalizes things like "yeahhh, ohhhh" at all, especially given his old vocalizations even as recent as "Wipe That Smile".

But aside from that, I think "Allowance" is the best clip we have yet, I don't agree with others who are trashing it. Nothing as good as "Heavyweight" yet, but remember the 30-second preview of Heavyweight? Wasn't nearly as good as when we heard the whole song for the first time, which blew us all away.
