Come on, now you're just trolling.

There are some incredible albums with only 8 songs. If they cut something, it won't be without reason. Thinking otherwise is just asinine.

I'll give you this much -- even if the album winds up with 11 songs I'll have my fingers crossed that they'll do something with a few of the discarded tracks. I like hearing songs from OLP.

If you'll read that again you'll notice I didn't complain I was just stating the prediction that 2 groups will form and take sides.

If you're predicting that 2 groups will form, it probably wasn't the best wording to say that the 2nd group of people "defend all OLP decisions." That implies that group is already formed, and it implies that anyone who would be happy with an 8-song album is some sort of mindless OLP worshipper.

I know you would not lump yourself in that category, so I jumped ahead to the only logical conclusion that your post allows: if the album contains anything less than 10 songs, you will say it is not enough and complain.

And for myself, as stated I wouldn't be displeased with an 8-song album. Therefore now you've classified me as a mindless fanboy. This is simply not true, and is a little insulting. I've been around here a very long time and have found myself on all sides of the debates. Hell, in 2006 I mailed their management a 20+ page list of complaints about the company that they had hired at the time to run ourladypeace.net.

Now, let's wait and see that tracklist please!

Oh Trusty, how you toy with our emotions. You must get a really good laugh when you post cryptic things like that and then dont come back for a few days. haha

Dare I ask....when will we actually see the tracklist in question?
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

You do have to admit though that some people drink the kool-aid and defend all of OLP's actions, right or wrong (much like fans of other bands, or any other major famous act/person).

Honestly I'm just glad that a post-grunge band out of 1992 is still going strong and making great new music in 2012. Sometimes it can be a bit irritating when things get delayed, pushed back etc., but it's better than being a Moist or Soundgarden fan (although the latter are finally back together and have a new album on the way).

OLP almost broke up twice already (2001 and 2005), so we're just lucky they're still around. Patience is a virtue.

Even if this album only ended up having 6 songs, as long as those 6 songs are absolutely amazing then I think this can still be a great album. I mean, HIPT and Burn Burn really only have 3 songs each that I actually enjoy listening to so I think that 6 well-made songs could actually get us as much "listenable" content as their last two albums put together! (minus the needless changing of CD's if you're like me and have an old-school stereo)

@SteveMazur: Mixing last song for Curve "Mettle" tomorrow w@MrRaineMaida after Andrew Scheps nailed the rest. Guest speaker on it?!? No drums 1vrs/Chrs

Don't remember hearing about a song called "Mettle" yet. Great title for a song! Any ideas if it's a re-worked version of a song we've already heard, or is this something new? :)

Mettle was mentioned for the first time in an article recently. I think it's one we haven't heard yet, but that can't be said for sure until we hear it since there were several unidentified songs in the youtube clips last year.

Yeah we've known about Mettle for a few weeks now, but we don't know what it sounds like (unless it's a renamed title of a previous clip we heard).

Steve said, "guest speake?r". I would guess that Mettle is the song that MR cover man George speaks in like Raine was taling about a few weeks ago.

I find it weird that the song only has 1verse and chorus. No drums. Interesting to see how it will end up.

as for songs on cd and tracklisting. All in time dear kids. All in time. Does it really matter how many songs are on a cd? As long as the music is great. Besides I bet if there were 10 songs and cd was only 35 minutes long you still complain..

hmmm...I understood that tweet as him saying the song has no drums in the first verse and chorus, similar to 4am.

I think its a full song, just no drums for part of it....I wonder which way it is now???

I think he meant the drums don't come in until the 2nd verse.

That's the impression I got too. My favourite is drums + bass, like One Man Army's beginning.

I think the one thing "mainstream" OLP wont shy away from is having 10 tracks.. if we don't end up with 10 then i'll be surprised. I hope if we complain enough about warnings and moth we will end up having them as bonuses like we did with waiting for something to happen & the right stuff.
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

tracklist is set! & album art is done! :)

Now we are working on super nice album/tour related things...A lot of thought and attention to detail is going into everything and if all goes to plan you are all in for some really cool stuff!

In other news, .com is going to get an overhaul before tour starts and we are just putting the finishing touches on something really cool, innovative and truly interactive for you fans...I know you are going to dig this one!

Any way, things will start rolling out soon...album art was the priority for a bit but now I can jump back on the cooler stuff! wahoo.

Let me put a note in and see when we can reveal the tracklist....see if I can post it here first for ya! ;)
