The show was awesome. The rain held off until OLP came on and it got pretty heavy towards the end. Other than getting soaked it was a great time.

They didn't play Dreamland either...

“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I am sure you will find someone..
You also hav eto remember people they are doing the Festival circuit now. They pretty much stick to hits and more popular songs( from my experience)..Sets are shorter..

A single I don't like, but remember people, bands play singles at concerts.
especially the current single...but the end is where we begin got played more before it was a single than after it was released.
im actually kinda surprised because since the album came out they have not played refuge(although its virtually impossible because the drums have to be set up differently) , never get over you, white flags, signs of life(although its probably not a good live song as there is no real pick up in the song), or even the right stuff and time bomb. There is usually only 1 or 2 songs from each album that they dont perform at some point over an extensive tour for that album. They really limited themselves to only 5 or 6 songs for burn burn.
i guess it was probably the result of learning all the old songs and not having the time in the second set to put in those songs. i dont see them playing them beyond this tour so we have a few more on the "never been played live list"
Is there something good, something more?

I'm sort of surprised that they don't branch out a bit more, especially when touring the US where they aren't played on the radio and don't have to worry about playing a hit that the casual concertgoer will recognize. I'm pointing at All You Did Was Save My Life. Sure, it's a decent song and a good pick for a single. But when you're playing small venues that are probably filled with people who aren't there just because they heard some songs on the radio does it need to close the main set or even be played each night? Probably not.
I guess I'm pretty lucky that between the 4 shows I went to I heard All You Did Was Save My Life, Dreamland, Monkey Brains, The End Is Where We begin, Escape Artist, and Paper Moon -- everything that they've performed since the real touring started -- but I would've loved hearing a few others. For Refuge I would probably just use timpani mallets on floor toms and that should work alright without dragging along extra drums on the tour just for 1 song.

The End Is Where We Begin was a single and I only saw it a handful of times ELECTRIC. It was done more when Raine and Steve did the Radio/accoustic shows.
I love to see REFUGE done live. I think I even mentioned it to them.
WHo knows maybe Dreamland will sh ow up. I did not see how many shows they played it on.
