I heard someone recorded the entire SM set in HD. Wonder when that will show up?
Yay drum solo!
Too bad about the crowd though.

Just got back from to Erie from the London show (stupid lake...why do you have to be so great?). We shook Mantracker somewhere around Hamilton (those horses just couldn't keep up with my Buick).
London crowd tonight was very sparse, but trust me when I say it was a well-documented event. Word on the street is some jackass in the front row taped the majority of the drum solo...

That made me laugh, I have never seen a Mantracker reference anywhere.
The show in London last nite was awesome, but the crowd was very sparse. And i have to say that i dont understand why people waste their money to go to a rock concert if they are just gonna sit down and bitch that there are people in front of them...just stay home and let people enjoy themselves. A guy came up to me and asked me to move because his wife couldnt see, as if i was the only person in the place standing...get a life and stand up like EVERYONE ELSE in the venue..or maybe im just rude i dont know...
and then there was the lone 85 year old usher trying to stop a couple hundred people from rushing the stage when the band came on for the second set (he kicked us out at the intermission because it was a "reserved seating show") hahaha...it was funny...pointing a flashlight at people telling them to go back to their seats....then the band comes out and he had no chance against the herd
i ended up front row right at raine's feet....man can he still sing...the absolutely nailed spiritual machines, and the second set, although very short, was very very good.
second set:
monkey brains
superman's dead
clumsy
innocent
one man army
paper moon (with 5 minute drum solo and then a long outro without raine)
is anybody home
all you did/somewhere out there
4am
starseed
it was disappointing that they cut out a couple songs, but definitely worth the drive to be front row for free and experience that again...still got my 4th and final show in kitchener on saturday
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
Did anyone get in or hear Raine and Steve on 89x off Windsor. I got on line too late to listen to broadcast..
And I thought Clumsy night in T.O was quiet.. As long as you all had fun in London.. I awlays felt that no matter how great a band can perform the audience in the end makes a show. If they are not into it , it can be a real downer.
As for being the only one standing up I hear you there. Where I was in Massey for Clumsy night was like that. NObody was up till second set when Raine told the crow to get up. Worse show for me though was U2 years ago. I was in a section that everyone sat through the whole freaking show. Everytime I got up people would tell me to sit down. it sucked big time. i wanted to go over to next section where people were up.
We are entitled to sit or stand at a show.. But you should not tell someone to sit down cause you want to sit and you should try to be a little more understanding or people who want to sit.
I personally try to make the best of the situation. Still a rock concert you should be up and not complain if people are. It is not like youa re watching an opera, symphany..

5 minutes... it was more like 20....
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

So jealous of you guys seeing that live. Looks like you all had a good time
Beside the fact of my formating my memory card after Clumsy night in Massey I still managed to take over 300 pictures(literally) SM night and got a Naveed kids(partial front row) and escape artist..
Still kicking my own ass for loosing Car Crash and Carnival in full , Damn camera had no "Are you sure you would like to format" option
suppose to be video and audio according to that article but I have not found it yet.

I'd take this with a grain of salt, but Raine says revisiting Clumsy and Spiritual Machines will prompt him to visit some of his old techniques as a vocalist for the next record. Encouraging.
