Yeah, seriously. I was thinking the same thing. It's so silly.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Happy 40th Birthday to Raine today!!! Shit... dude is getting old!

To think he was 22 years old when OLP first formed.

I can still remember celebrating my parents' 40th birthdays not too long ago

"In fact, they’ve just finished some early demos for the record and hope to dive back in when this round of touring wraps up.

"It’ll be a similar process, but there’s no way we could take as much time," says Coutts with a chuckle. "We needed to make Burn Burn that way as a band, to preserve the life of the band but from a business standpoint, when you go away for that long it’s not great for the relationship you’ve built up within the industry or with your audience.

"Really, the plan is to get a record out this calendar year"'

I'll be surprised if it's out this year, but it's good to at least know it'll be somewhat soon.

10 questions with Duncan Coutts..

http://www.chartattack.com/features/799 ... can-coutts

ha ha. Love the Edwin/Greg Nori question. For those who do not know
Edwin was lead singer of I Mother Earth and solo. Now plays with Mike Turner in Crash Karma.

Greg was the singer in Treble Charger. He also produced and managed Sum41 for awhile.

OLP has played with both bands

Yeah they've talked about it quite often. At one point Raine quit the band, they fired Bob Rock, and all that fun stuff. I really think hiring Bob Rock was a horrible idea, I don't know what they were thinking. But I've also read that Arnold Lanni was the one who suggested they try other producers.

Almost breaking up and the length of time it took to make that record was to HIPT as what the four guys in a room speech is to Burn Burn.

You forgot that HIPT was a combination of "too's."
