I think that can be said for almost all of the unreleased songs we've heard... While they might have not been right for the albums they were intended for (or just a bad decision to leave off, like Vampires), they are definitely good enough to be released.

Slacktoo on Youtube (whoever you are) pointed out to someone also that it wouldn't look good for Steve if they released songs with Mike on guitar. Whatever...

So where are the videos from the SM show? Or is it still too early in Montreal?

EDIT: *potential spoilers* If you don't want to know about the shows, DON'T READ THIS!! javascript:emoticon(':P')

I just came back from the Spiritual Machines show.....all I can say right now is wow. I'm speechless. I'm sorry, but I'm still processing what I just saw, so I can't even begin to explain how amazing the Spiritual Machines set was. Then the second set was just a POWERHOUSE! That was such a powerful performance! Everyone was SO into it (even more than the Clumsy show last night, which was epic also!!). And Not just Raine (who seriously looked like he was having the time of his life during the second set), but you could really feel Jeremy and Duncan's presence providing the backbone. Don't even get me started on Steve. Shredding it, killing it, killing US all night!!!!!!

Also, the best part was, that while I had pretty far seats (in row M)...towards the end of the second set, Raine called for everyone in the balcony to COME ON DOWN....I ran out of my seat, and ended up being right in front!! Everyone just piled up in the front! It was so great! Then it REALLY started feeling like a hot sweaty OLP concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I'm a little sad about is, first, that these two amazing epic nights are over. And second, that I didn't get the VIP tickets (I couldn't really afford them), because all I wanted to do after the show was tell the band THANK YOU. Forget about the goodie bags and pictures....I just wanted to sincerely say Thanks to them :(

To those going to the shows in the very near future...you have reason to be excited!!!!!! :P

If You Believe was outstanding! I have no doubts that All My Friends will be just as great! And to think that one year ago I thought they'd never be able to pull them off live, now!

Someone had to have taped Wonderful Future!

So after the show I had to drive back to NH. I must say it was worth everything. I have the whole SM set on my sony cybershot that is easily put on the computer. I also recorded some of second half this way and then some of the second half with an actual digi cam. Actually Raine had invited people to come up to the floor and I got to be in second row...I was video taping and he took my camera to videotape the audience. However security came a few minuted later and confiscated it and then I didn't get to enjoy the rest of the show, cause I was thinking that the most amazing thing is going to get erased. But after many tears and talk I convinced the guy to give it to me with out erasing any of it it. I thought last nights show was more amazing then Clumsy...I actually do not think there was a song I didn't hear the audience sing a long to.

So, uh, security took it away after Raine recorded with it and gave it back? The band fucking knows that people record and Raine even recorded some himself, yet security and the venue still want to take it away? WHY!? It's not their music being recorded. Next time Raine records footage with his camera I want someone to ask security to confiscate it and see how they react.

As per union rules, most concert venues have the rights to record video, and prevent anyone else from doing so. Usually retard ushers and security guards think they are the police and try to enforce it.

Back in 2005 Raine told Regina to take out their cameras and record Kiss On The Mouth...and as soon as everyone started doing that, ushers and security started taking them away. Douchebags.

Anyway, I am not taking a camera to any of the shows I am going to. I'd rather enjoy the show than worry about getting a good shot!

Yea at the end of the song, security told me to follow them. I had to go backstage to see the security boss. He asked why I did that and how I got the camera in. I told him Raine took my camera and recorded the audience and band for me, so obviously he didn't care I had it. He then took my camera and told security to take me back to the concert. He came out 5 mins later with the camera and said he took my tape out. The security dude gave me a card and told me to call this guy tomorrow morning. I told him I was from NH and leaving that night. I was crying and the security guy told me not to cry. I had to stand on the side for the rest of the concert and couldn't get my head back into the concert. After the concert I talked to security, asked them if I could talk to him now since I was going back home tonight. They kept giving me a hard time and said to call tomorrow because they were too busy. I just kept crying lol and then the boss told me to take a seat. The boss came over to me ten minutes later and talked. Then he went to go get the guy on the card. I think his name was scott. Scott comes over to me and starts asking me how i got it in, why i was taping it when there was signs saying no video tape. He started to swear and then I cried some more lol. I told him i was from the states going him tonight and raine took my camera and recorded things. He said that raine takes a camera at every concert. I told him I was at a few concerts before where raine specifically asked for a video camera cause he wanted it to be tped and put on internet. Scott was like yea Raine's a pretty cool guy. I was like then if he is okay with it wh is this a big deal. Then he said he would erase everything but that and mail it back to me. I cried and he said don't cry. I'll give it back to you but don't put in on youtube and don't tell anyone I did this. He said it was only their third day in Canada and he doesnt want it shown. He said don't take a fucking video camera to a rock concert and that he was having a bad day and then gave to me. I thanked him, gave him a hug and then left. I was just soo happy to have that footage. It made the whole trip by myself worth it :)

geez, what a bunch of assholes. I think they should come to terms with the band, regarding video recordings. I know bands that really don't want their gigs recorded and put on youtube. They think that their fans need to experience the whole thing live, instead of just a tiny bit, through youtube. I respect that. But since THE BAND members were okay with it, what's the bi g deal. Bunch of bullies.

Why? No cameras allowed inside Massey Hall?

It's pretty dumb that any of this had to happen. Any fan who's desparate enough to watch low-quality youtube vids of these concerts WILL be going to one of these concerts, if it's within their ability to do so. Heck, seeing these vids makes me want to go more.
