I'm still turned off by Raine's lack of stage presence, though.
I don't know where you're getting that... I mean, give the guy a break, he hasn't played this song live in over a decade, if not EVER, and he's clearly nervous about singing it to an audience for the first time. Notice how he asks "we doing okay so far?" before the song. At another point in the concert he also said "we take this stuff very seriously, so hopefully we're doing a good job". And he hits the falsettos perfectly in this song, so he IS doing a great job.
I think what you perceive as his "lack of stage presence" is really just him holding still enough to ensure that he reaches all the notes correctly and perhaps to read lyrics that are taped to the floor? Who knows. It's better that he stand still and get the lyrics right than run around the stage and forget most of them. Stop being so harsh on him, come on, we're lucky enough he's doing this.

I don't think that's a reasonable excuse. Come on, they've never done some of those songs, but we all know he can do better than that. He did a pretty good job singing those songs, I'm not taking his effort for granted, nope. But as a musician and some one who used to play drums for 3 different bands I (and you don't need to be a musician to acknowledge (sp?) that) I know how important interacting with fans is. He's just standing there singing. That's what people do in rehearsals... and asking the crowd if they're liking it or not during breaks, hum? I woudln't call that stage presence.
No doubt he might be nervous, but come on... he can do better than that. They rehearsed a lot, I'm pretty sure he's going go get better as the tour goes on. That was their first night, and I believe they were just warming up. Unless that's how he really want so behave on stage, which I doubt... he's never been like that before.
Nonetheless, I raise my glass for OLP. They've done a pretty good job. Specially Raine and Steve.

From the videos I've watched he has 4 times the stage presence at this show than at the shows I saw in 2009. Steve too. So I'm confused by the complaint...
Just watch this time-lapse of a concert from last year to see just how much they move around in a night on the 2009 tour:

Montreal show is on right now... no one is posting in that thread though... I hope someone manages to tape Car Crash... and since they're doing the SM show in Montreal tomorrow night, I'm betting they wont have In Repair, Life or Are You Sad? in the second setlist tonight for Clumsy's show, so I wonder what they'll replace it with... I'm guessing either HIPT songs or (hopefully) some rarities from Happiness/Naveed/Gravity

I still have a feeling there will be In Repair... Are You Sad? wouldn't surprise me either.
Same thing for tomorrow... I'd expect Superman's Dead, Clumsy, and 4am. Raine said he wasn't sure on whether it would be done like this, or if those songs would be ignored in the second set on opposite nights.

Of course they will do a few songs from one album on the other album's show -- there are other songs that they'll play both nights in the 2nd set anyway.
I think it'd be cool if they did something like play In Repair/Kids on Clumsy night (In Repair regular on SM night), and Clumsy with the extended outro on SM night (but original version on Clumsy night). That way you're still getting something a little different from those songs both nights.

Yeah, they're stage presence in the second set (and the first set) was great. When we talked to Steve afterwards, he joked as well about how they're taking it very seriously.
