Autotune doesn't suck, it just shouldn't be a crutch for bad singing and needs to not be so extremely overused.

Trying to get her to learn an instrument is frustrating - she doesn't think its necessary and she loves Lady Gaga. I think its great if she is inspiring young kids to love music (I am not a music snob and will give any music a chance) but I have not seen her demonstrate her musical ability (which I'm not doubting she has), just some weird ass fashion statements.

Why would you do that to the poor girl?! You're like the old man who's like "this is real music! now sit down, shut up and listen!" hahahaha. Poor kid. All she wanted was to see a cool, fun show and you brought her to see an adult-contemporary act. Good job. Way to crush her dreams.

Haha, she had the option, she choose to go with me. I think she did enjoy it - and I did warn her before we went that it may not be the concert she thinks it will be. Since we are from Chantal's hometown it helps too, she knew who she was and knew the music. Anyways, I am sure I will have to take her to something she will enjoy more and I won't so much so she'll get even then. Way to crush my dreams calling me old and all!

I admit to digging Stereos, in a guilty-pleasure way. But that's heavily biased because my friend's in love with them and knows the guys.

Almost done Christmas shopping! I went out on early this morning to two stores. Lowes and Victoria's Secret disappointed me. The online deals are so much better.

From my scientifically accurate poll black
Friday shopping is down 75% from 2 years ago.

I went to my local staples black Friday sale 2 years ago about an hour before opening and was ~100th in line.

Yesterday I went around the same time and was around 25th in line. Had a chance to get tickets for a laptop, PC, GPS but was just there to get a digital picture frame and a 1TB HD.

Off to search youtube for the latest black Friday kill videos. Wonder what the body count will be this year.

Normally I'd just take that post with a big block of salt, but that's just fucking awful to post. "I'm gonna see if anybody got killed this year. Yuck yuck!" Some poor guy got trampled to death last year, and people just walked over top of him, and you find humor enjoyment in searching out something similar...and even worse make light of it? You're a useless piece of shit. People will never trample you to death, because no one likes dog shit on their shoes.

That is terrible to write.

Brian. I hope you said that not as mean but to point out how aggressive people can be. And for what.? My nephew made a similar comment on his facebook page. He is a paramedic. For him it comes from seeing it first hand. Seeing death for senseless things like people trampling others for something they probably did not need in the first place.I hate black Friday.>I worked retail for many years and you be surprised how crazy it gets. Not from a shoppers point of view but from the worker's.

I am glad you survived Matt. I know how much patience it takes to work on that day.

Haha, I'm guilty of this too. Kids will be kids. Regardless of what you impose on them, they'll reach their teens and denounce almost all of it, anyway. :P

Most do come back, though.. That's the most you can hope for.

Live performances without a microphone would be the best way. :)

I realized today I still run up the stairs using my feet AND hands, even though I'm no longer 4.

YOU GUYS.

I've been so good with my grammar-naziness. However...two posts in a row with two of my biggest irks need to be commented on!

"Gets" does not have an apostrophe. If Neil were around, he would get yelled at for errant apostrophe use.

And the second issue...in the above post, "as long as your not" should be "as long as you're not".

And I'm done. I have restrained myself upon spotting many things, but...sorry, guys, I just couldn't help myself this time.

I'll go back to hiding for awhile again.

The message toolbar could really use a spelling and grammar check button.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida
