I know! It was a little awkward.....where did those people come from, and *why* were they there?
I know! I would've been screaming my lungs out. I bet half of those kids didn't even know anything other than the really popular nineties singles and the Gravity stuff.
I was so shocked to find out that Raine had Twitter!
Chris Koster is an amazing musician. I got to see him live with a lot of the CM crew at the Horseshoe Tavern 3 years ago, and he was great. Good cover.

...interesting. I searched some of his other music before listening, and was actually expecting to be more impressed by his WTSOYF than I am. It's good though.

It doesn't change the fact that the country is still in pretty bad shape after his many, many terrible decisions. It's still pretty relevent. Even if it wasn't, it's a nice cover and I think he did pretty well with it.
I really doubt they would have made an American list regardless of which American magazine or radio station wrote it.
Regardless, some of top 10 are decent although there are definitely some questionable songs. I think the bottom half of the list is a bit more indicative of the 2000-20009 than the top half. The top is filled primarily with radio rock, whereas the bottom half contain more indie/alternative bands. Bands, that ultimately receive more attention/hype on internet publications and music magazines than that of the top half.

One thing that makes me mad is that on the live album u can hear, raine is capable of falsetto still at the time, but no gravity falsetto. we could've had another falsetto album there.
I FREAKING loved Gravity. I truly believe it is a work of art on par Michelangelo's "David," Tolstoy's "War and Peace" and Henri Cartier-Bresson's "Behind Saint-Lazare Station." Decades from now, the album will be held up as the one shining light among a decade of mediocrity. Scholars will pour over every note and every word in vain attempts to decipher its mysteries. Generations of bands will site the album as their greatest influence. No one will hope to equal it, but rather, simply recreate shadows of its greatness. Original printings will be enshrined in museums, and bought for millions of dollars. Sir Raine Maida and his band of Merry men will be remembered as Saints. The small country of Cyprus will offer them Kingship, and worship at their feet.
