I relooked at the picture and realized that the sign in the background doesn't have an apostrophe in it! It should be "you're."

This is not exactly OLP news but do not know where else to really put this. From War Child. This woman is a good friend of Raine and Chantal's.

LIVE ONLINE CHAT WITH DR. SAM NUTT, FOUNDER OF WAR CHILD
Tuesday May 5, 2009 8:00PM

So you want to work for an NGO? You’re interested in humanitarian causes? Does the conflict in Darfur, and others around the world, leave you with lots of questions?

Here’s your chance to gain some insight into what War Child is all about.

War Child’s Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Samantha Nutt, has just returned from Sudan and tomorrow evening, Tuesday May 5th, she’ll be hosting a live online chat at 8 pm on our social networking site www.warchildheroes.net.

Don’t miss it.

--------------------------------------------------
DRUMMERS FOR DARFUR
Making a Big Noise for Those That Have No Voice.
Saturday May 30, 2009 12:00PM

Help War Child make some noise for those that have no voice! Join Drummers for Darfur on Saturday May 30th to help raise some urgently needed funds for the children of Darfur, Sudan.

Drummers for Darfur will gather at Grange Park in Toronto at 12:00PM for a loud and boisterous drumming parade through the streets of Toronto – culminating with an all out drum fest in Trinity Bellwoods Park.

Register for the event online www.warchild.ca/drummersfordarfur and start your own personal fundraising campaign. Get your pots, pans, drums and the like together and meet us on the 30th.

The goal is to raise enough money to build two Youth Centers, where War Child provides educational programs and a safe place to learn, in Internally Displaced Persons’ Camps. http://www.warchild.ca/index.php/progra ... elected/12

Can’t make it to the event? Support the cause: https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/Dona ... Pref=en-CA

War Child Canada is one of only two Canadian aid agencies still operational in Darfur, and with the recent loss of 13 vital humanitarian aid agencies from the region, the need to ensure that children receive education, training, and protection from war is now more urgent than ever.

Thanks for helping us spread the word.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Apparently OLP is playing Salmon fest this year. It;s not confirmed though, and it would be cutting it very close to their other show in July. But thats what I'm hearing.

ps, Salmon fest is super lame and I'm definitely not going.

canada has superlame fesitvals in general, save for pemberton. What I wouldn't give to have more Glastonbury and Readins and Leeds types fesitvals here in Canada.

Nice, OLP has uploaded all their released videos on YouTube.

Even Right Behind You! Too bad the videos are only available in Canada.

When I get the time I'll d/l the Canada-restricted version (of RBY) to my PC and upload it separately to Youtube without country restrictions.. :)

BTW I dunno why they're uploading them with country restrictions in the first place... I mean .NET is not country restricted??
