Wasn't related to an update but my primary system I store my resume and my outlook express e-mails on has the HD on it's way out.

Thankfully I've been able to get to it long enough for an up to date backup.

Now I have to do actual work on my junk Vista system.
Working ok so far but not as efficient as my XP system.

You're aware you can leave automatic downloads of updates on, but not the actual updates, right? You have them auto-download, then can just install them whenever you want.
