Buffallo lives to play another day while the Wings ask the Ducks "Is that all you got?" all while the refs are telling the goalies "I don't care if you've got a glove the size of a watermelon put that water bottle in it's tiny holder!!"

Looks like Hasek will have plenty of time to make snowangels in the offseason.

I hope the Wings can pick up a decent Goaltender in the offseason. Is Luongo available? How about Khabibulin? He would do well with some defenseman in front of him.

God am I FUCKIN PISSED at HASEK!!!!

If a softie came his way we would panic, flop on his back and make snow angels untill a Duck came and tipped the puck in.

Perhaps we should had strapped some skates on Maggs.

He had 2 HR's off Anaheim last night.

these refs are absolutely ridiculous. they already gave the sens game 3, i can tell they're trying to do it tonight too.

Wings kicked their season off with a 2-3 win over Anaheim in a shootout last night.

Unfortunatley the Joe snapped its 500 some game sell-out streak. Understandable if the Tigs were in the playoffs or at least took things down to the wire but their season was done 2-3 weeks ago now. Maybe it's the tanking Michigan economy.

I wasn't thrilled with the fact our only 2 goals came on the PP. it was like the playoffs all over again. 40+ shots for the Wings with the opponent lucky to get off 10.

With Bertuzzi and Mowers with the Ducks now it really screwed me up when they announced them in the play by play.
"Pass from Lindstrom intercepted by Bertuzzi who passes to Mowers." Wait a min .. oh yea.

I would had liked to keep Bertuzzi to keep things physical but no real attachment o Mowers. I think the addition of Brian Rafalski should be good. Don't knwo much about Dalls Drake either.

I don't know much about him but I'm sure he had great success comming from New Jersey.

Still not the biggest Hasek fan out there. He really pissed me off last year with all the snow angel plays. It was deja vu all over again in the shootout last night. Luckily he went down sideways and blocked the puck off his chest then went into pannic snow angel mode.

On the topic of Goaltenders I beleive Habbibulien (sp?) was at the end of his contract last year with the Flames. Is he still with them? Or did he go somewhere else?

He seemed to always do a standup job against the Wings. We could use that kinda play.

Handfull of new/young faces out there but still plenty of talent ready to be tapped. It'll be good to really get people like Filpula, Hudler and Kopecky alot of ice time and let them develop.

Jury is still out on keeping Datsyuk and Zetterberg paired up. They seemed to have that ability to sense where each other were without even looking like a Alan Trammel Lou Whitaker combo.

Looking forward to another great season!

Not a good night when the post has a better save % than the goalie.

In other news what a crazy 3rd period and OT period between Buffalo and the Leafs last night.

Buffallo scored the GWG with like 3.2 seconds left in OT.
