they have like... 1 good player.. simon gagne.. (other than smith i mean) other than that they have a midget (danny briere who used the habs to drive up his contract with philly), joffrey lupul who could be good (keyword: could) and a few others but they have no goaltending (as usual)

they wanted pitkanen who's going to be really good.. especially with smid

thats gonna be one hell of a d in the future
but yeah.. they wanted him given their never going to trade with calgary to get dion phaneuf (every coaches wet dream when it comes to a young and upcoming d-man other than *maybe* jack johnson or erik johnson (but theyve yet to prove anything while dion wouldve won the calder (rookie of the year) in any other year other than his actual rookie year (he went up against alex ovechkin and sidney crosby.. he had no chance in hell and finished third) but the year before or after he wouldve won easily because hes just that damn good.. anyways.. the top young d-men in the league are like... dion, pitkanen, jay bouwmeister, cam barker and a few others i forget off the top of my head and the only one who was legitimately available is pitkanen so they had no choice on that one

oh and i dislike miller
and the sabres
a lot
although.. they are definitely lucky they didnt play the habs in the playoffs because they'd have had some probs.. the habs did quite well for themselves against the sabres

And I like Miller, he did well during the playoffs as he totally kept the Senators from blowing away the Sabs.

Oh and the Joey Moss Cup is on today, so we get to see the new Oilers jersey, and the new captain, hopefully! I bet its either going to be Moreau or Staios with Stoll being give an A.

staios will get the C w/ moreau an A and most likely stoll or souray the other A (shelly had an A for the habs and was one of the bigger leaders on the team.. hell the one thing they didnt replace when they lost him was his leadership)

Im pretty stoked to see this new team play.

Especially Sanderson! He is the most fit Oiler on the team and not to mention the fastest.

and i like the guy too haha
if he could ever get back to that huge year he had a few years back he'd be awesome but at this point hes considered "depth" and a throw in the pitkanen trade :/
i actually kinda like that D you guys got goin tho if things mesh well chemistry wise

hell, emery's heroes are all boxers haha.. one of his nicknames is sugar ray and has boxers on his masks

that and he totally kicked his ass last year.. like.. worked him good
