i get bored of watching it
i mean
theres only so much i can take
cricket makes baseball games seem like hockey with the amount of action
tis great for like 5 overs or so
and then it gets tedious and boring
go fuck yourself.

I don't know anything about cricket.

Want to learn, but it's hard when there's never a game to watch.

basic rundown:
1 over = 6 "pitches" (cept they calls them balls)
1 match = 50 overs

also theres like wides and no balls and something elses that means that those balls dont count so they have to re-do em

a bowler (pitcher) can only bowl for 10 overs
a batsmen does NOT have to run if he doesnt want to (hence the tedious and boring part)
a batsmen stays in till hes out and a team bats until either 10 batsmen are out or 50 overs are done

thats pretty much the basics as i remember them for one-day events (as the world cup is)

for test matches (5 day or 3 day events) basically both teams bat twice and bowl twice and they can literally take 5 days for one match to end.

oh and in cricket they have breaks for tea time and lunch and bathroom breaks because the game takes so damn long

and people wonder why i download hockey with its end to end rushes, changes on the fly and like.. action

eradicate the slug. go sens go.
go fuck yourself.

:O cool. That's clearer than anything i've been able to find elsewhere. thanks.

Still a lot of weird shit i'll need to learn, but it's a start.

How do you score a run? just by running back and forth between the wickets and some other thing right?

basically, running from one wicket to the next = 1 run
but if the bowler throws it wide... or steps over some line that i havent seen but apparently exists, both are scored as runs (in some sorta fashion.. i dont quite get that part yet.. i get so bored i dont always pay attention :*)***)

i really really love how 38 yr old brett favre has lead his green bay packers to what appears to be a 3-0 start.. barring the unthinkable in the game currently on but yeah.. 3 and fuckin 0
way to go brett!

i also love the fact that the miami dolphins are 0-3 cuz i hate that damn team

it also brings me great pleasure to see chucky and the bucs losing

and finally going into todays game i really thought the lions had started to turn the corner but 56 pts to a winless eagles team?! (as for the iggles... winless?! wtf?!)
atleast kevin kolb gift wrapped one and fumbled on a sack to give the lions a shot at the end zone since they have it in the redzone now

and finally.. last but not least... i wonder if the owners and what not in san diego are kicking themselves in the head for their moves in the offseason.. drop marty schotenheimer (sp?!) and not name cam cameron head coach (not that the aforementioned dolphins are doing well but thats because the team sucks shit) and going with a 2nd year qb on a team thats supposed to challenge for the superbowl... too many changes in too short period of time it looks like.. they could still turn it around and all but :wtf: theyre hell of a lot better than a 1-2 team and really they only won their first game because they played a team that has literally no qb.. unless crennel smartens up and puts in brian griese (who sucks but is sadly a vast improvement on the current qb in grossman.. who sucked in college)
go fuck yourself.

winningest qb and his next td will move him into 1st overall for most td passes in a career... although peyton manning has a legit shot at beating both of those with the way colts are stacked and his talent level but yeah.. favre is one of the all-time best in the nfl

i think bill bellichek is taking his anger at the nfl for his fine out on the other teams by running up the score

either that or the guys got no fucking class what so ever.. i mean.. theyre up 38 fucking points and he still has his starters in the game and throwing? bastard.. i hope brady hurts himself cant play for the rest of the season for that BS
