I actually did pick it out on my own. My friend Shannon works at a local jewelry store, so she helped me as far as selecting a diamond with good clarity and color. I completely surprised her with it.

Well, today was my birthday, and I was supposed to go out to celebrate with some friends. The ones who said they would go can't go, I now have no one to go out with, and I was going to go alone because my friend is DJing at the club and has me on a guest list, but now I can't even do that because I can't get a fucking cab to pick me up and take me ten miles into Albany.

*mutter*

At least the day was good.
