Oh also, at least some of the other tracks are different mixes than the ones we already had.

Islands make for a killer live show. Oboes, violins, bass clarinets, recorders, reese's pieces... quite the array of instruments. Rather enjoyable opener too - The Dymaxions.

i sawed natasha bedingfield last nite. twas good and i got to dance alot. cheyenne and josh hoge opened for her. cheyenne was annoying. i guess she's good for what she was doing but i didn't really care for that. i thought josh hoge was amazing. it makes me happy when i go to shows and see an opening band i've never heard of and end up falling in love with the music!

I think I may have posted a bunch of these already, but I think a few of them are new. If I already posted this entire list, I appologize(sp?) in advance. I'm too lazy to look for my last post in the thread.

June 14 - Nine Inch Nails
June 15 - Mike Doughty
June 24 - The Bad Plus
July 15 - Pink
July 28 - Fiona Apple, Damien Rice, David Garza
August 11 - Dashboard Confessional
August 20 - The Duhks (well, actually the Philadelphia Folk Festival, but I'm mainly going for the Duhks)

Should be a great summer of concerts!

:freak:
I love my concerts. The Summerfest ones are a great way to kick up the concerts, too. It's a week and a half long festival in Milwaukee with tons of bands. I'll probably go see more than the bands I listed each day, but those are the majors I'm going for.

I also don't pay for all my shows.

:GASP: you're going?! :nana:

Also, last time I talked to R&S they were considering going to the Burlington one since it's just down the street from where they live. Not sure if that's still their plan or not.

I think they are part of the plan...we're apparently going from 1pm until 8 or 9. Check Shelley's Myspace and you'll know where we'll be... she's got our schedule on there

On Shelley's myspace you don't see the calendar? Are you on her friends list cuz it's friends-only I think. If so, then scroll down, on the right to "Shelley's Calendar"... before her list of top 8 friends.

I saw Bright Eyes tonight. It was altogether too country and rather disappointing setlist wise. :(

Conor's voice is getting stronger and his lyrical genius is still present. The band sounded good... it was just too many songs from I'm Wide Awake (at least I think they were, I've only heard half the album) and new songs.

The highlight for me was Lover I Don't Have To Love, I guess. It's still one of my favourites and it was the only one that really deviated from the rest of the sound.

I'm aware of the country influence and that's fine. It was just a little overbearing. His cowboy hat and all.
