Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Hi Ellis,

I should have everything out of there by then. I'm mostly out now, just some random things in the kitchen and the living room that I didn't have boxes for.
I'll have everything cleaned up most likely in the next couple of days.
I would like to meet with you to give you the keys, unless you would like me to mail them to you.

My new address is:

[edited out]

Thank you very much, and I'm sorry this didn't work out. I'm glad you found a new tenant though.

Have a nice weekend,
Megan

Dickinson manages to create a progression in the state of mind being described without any actual physical narrative ever taking place. Instead, the ‘narrative,’ such as it is, is in fact composed of an extended metaphor for the intellectual concepts Dickinson is attempting to discuss.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

History
Beginnings
o Format originated in Cuba in late 1800’s, in tobacco plants
o Spread to radio, then television, when these became available
o When Castro took power in 1959, producers, directors, actors scattered across Latin America
o During 60’s telenovelas replaced imported US shows, but were heavily sponsored by US companies like Colgate
o hit their stride in 60’s and 70’s – began exporting to the US

The Big Spread
o the fall of Communism created entertainment vacuum (nothing but state-approved stuff, no budget to purchase US or European programming)
o telenovela producers offered them very good deals (high quality, low price)
o themes of struggle more resonant with 90’s Russia than frothy LA sitcoms
o large-scale expansion into central and eastern Europe
Brazil’s Globo TV has sold telenovelas to over 120 countries

Oh that is horrible... How do these places get ahold of the tickets??? And because TLA is so small, I can now understand how tickets sold out so fast when places like that eat them all up.

How about we email Gavin's management?
