HEDLEY MONDAY :D

& friday
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

I saw Nine Inch Nails last night at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville. They put on an awesome concert. Lots of good energy from the crowd and onstage. They played for about 2 hours straight. It was $45, but well worth it and I'd pay to see them again. Their back drops and videos they played on the curtain were really unique to me. I was blown away.

Just got tickets for Laura Veirs in Philly on May 16.

It's nice to see that she's headlining this time.

I think my biggest expense is concerts...and beer at said concerts haha

Mar 17th (St Patty's) - Constantines in Montreal

April 1st - Matt Good solo acoustic (London)
April 6th - Trews with Rocketface in London
May 7th- OLP at JLC in London
May 12th - Trews at Tulip festival (Ottawa)
May 13th - Rocketface and Seether (Ottawa)
May 16th - OLP in Ottawa

Gotta love going to school in one city, and then rationalizing coming home for the summer because of wicked concerts in another!! haha well not actually, but seriously I think I'll be at like 10 shows by mid May for this year alone...

I went to Taste of Chaos on Saturday...I hate the name of the tour, but this year, the lineup was really hard to miss. I loved Dredg. I had seen them once before, and they blew me away just as much this time as they did last time, if not more. Thrice was excellent, and the Deftones were great! I hadn't seen Deftones in years, so this was nice except for Chino being a diva sometimes. The theory is that he was a little messed up on something or another...They played most of their setlist from Adrenaline and Around the Fur while I was in, and I guess they finished with some newer stuff...I'm very happy with what I saw.

My April schedule is looking packed:
4/8 Buckethead
4/11 Rob Zombie
4/15 Greenwheel (I'm hoping they do a show in WI, too, so I can do two shows)
4/18 Dredg /Ours
4/20 Chimaira/God Forbid
5/1 Marc Broussard
5/10 Sigur Ros
5/16 Taproot

I saw Feeder and Goldie Lookin Chain last night. Feeder were great, though the sound was a little off (too much bass, not enough vocals), Goldie Lookin' Chain were pretty rubbish, but I didn't expect anything else.

And I've spend all afternoon fighting the crappy Radiohead presales site and finally got 2 tickets to see them at a small venue (for them - 5000 people I think) in May :D I have no idea how i did it - after 3 1/2 hours of the site dieing it suddenly loaded but died innumberable times whilst I went through the buying process. But trusty refreshing worked and in the endI got my tickets. I haven't been able to get into the site since though - it's really taking a hammering.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I'm considering a roadtrip to Detroit and Lansing on the way back for two Greenwheel shows...but I'm not sure I'll be able to afford it, so if I don't go, I'm going to see Alkaline Trio and Against Me on the 30th.

I also need to amend my earlier list:

4/7 30 Seconds to Mars
4/10 The Strokes
4/22 The Sounds...or Minus the Bear, I haven't decided yet

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I feel inadequate... with Oasis done, as of right now I only have 3 upcoming concerts. But they're within 4 days!

5/07 OLP
5/08 OLP
5/10 Pearl Jam (still have to get tix)

Okay so the PJ concert is on my official list now that I have tickets. Next I have to work on expanding my sad little concert list!

Edit 2: Woah, I just came back to this thread, couldn't find what I knew I posted earlier today, and realized that I edited instead of quoting this. Duh! :freak:

I'm still considering Sasquatch 2006, but I don't know if tickets are still available.
