We have on here favorite song, cd, etc from 05. I am curoius what everyone's top 5 or a little more shows of 05' were

mine were:

1) U2 -MSG( NYC) Oct 7th-This show was by far the best U2 show I ever saw.. -In the eclipse in the front. My friend and I couldn't believe our tickets scanned us in. -

2)-Coldplay-MSG-(NYC)-June- WHen Chris went out in the middle of the audience for In My Place-it was magical-Fornt row side stage. Suppose to be obstuctive view. My row was the best in the house. Nothing in front of us except the stage..

3)-OLP-BOwery Ballroom(NYC)-Sept 1-The best show I saw of them on this tour. They did Leave a Light on.. Front row ( steve)

4)-NIN-Hammerstein Ballroom(NYC)-May 16th- when Trent did HURT you could barely hear him cause the audience was singing. Plus it was a small venue-plus in the first few rows.

5)-Interpol-SONAR( baltimore)-March 24th- I saw quite alot of Interpol shows this year, but by far this one was the best. The sound, the setlist, the audience..-front row..

I am spoiled. If I can't be in the front or near the stage it is not the same for me.. Once you get up that close yoou will understand. I love watching people perform so it is really amazing when you get in the front.. That is why I love GA shows..

Shows I missed that I really wanted to go to. Foo Fighters( first time ever missing them-U2 same night), Green Day(OLP same night) and Rolling Stones( way too expensive)

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Umm... mine would all be OLP shows. And yeah, they were all special for different reasons, so there's no way I could possibly rate them.

Though, Live 8 was freaking awesome. And finally being front row for Oasis was soooooo great. And Greenwheel was amazing, too!

Ahh, I love concerts.

Portland.

Would've seen them in LA too over the summer if it hadn't been 21 and over.

I didn' t know you were under 21. I forgot about the Portland show. God that seems like a long time ago, and it was only 6-7 weeks ago.. :freak:

Hopefully you will catch them next year. I have no concrete plans to see them.. I like to go up to Canada, but depends when it is..

top 5 this year:

- jimmy gnecco (akron, oh)
- jimmy gnecco (detroit, mi)
- jimmy gnecco/neverending white lights (windsor, on)
- electric six (ann arbor, mi)
3-way tie for 5th:
- head automatica (detroit, mi)
- bright eyes/the faint (cleveland, oh)
- interpol (ann arbor, mi)

the OLP show in cleveland MIGHT have made it up there because of the good setlist (as opposed to the abysmal one in royal oak) but it didn't because my friend got sick and that made me sad.

I'm 21 now haha. The show was about a week before my birthday. But even if I had been 21, I was there visiting my girlfriend and she doesn't turn 21 until February so I still wouldn't have gone.

And I plan to see them in Portland and Seattle if they make up those dates, possibly LA if they make up that date, and Vancouver next year. So it should be good. :)

1) Pearl Jam - GM Place Vancouver  I'd waited 13 years for that show and they didn't let me down
2) OLP - The Drake Hotel, Toronto and Massey Hall, Toronto - totally different shows and yet both wonderful in their own ways.
3) Weezer - Brixton Academy with Tegan & Sara or Hammersmith Apollo. Again two very different shows - the first had T&S and a wonderful setlist, the 2nd they were sooooo happy and Rivers was all chatty and each band member sang a song, and Rivers went up on the balcony to sing Island in the Sun by himself which was really cool.
4) Bloc Party - Astoria. I can't even remember who supported or anything, but it was a really fun show - they have loads of energy and I got to see their mums all dancing and singing along
5) Foo Fighters - Earls Court. They put on such a great show and I had amazing seats.
6) Backstreet Boys - Electric Factory, Philly. My first show with Melissa and Nikki. Lots of fun

mmm east coast meetup.

It's too bad I'm far too east for you folk.

In other news, I desperately want to see the Trews when they play here but I have no one to go with. :*(
