shoulder?
hes fine physically so he claims
if anything it was his eye
given the possibility of having a severely and permanantly detatched retina if he got hit hard enough in a bad way

He had several shoulder injuries, one after the other in the last season he played. I remember only because Bertuzzi brutally slammed him into the glass hurting said shoulder again.

A detached Retina would probably be worse though

bertuzzi screwed him up good in the playoffs with that cheap hit from behind in my opinion

also from 2001, hannan high-sticked him and that's what caused his permanent blind spot

we'll miss you al. as for messier, meh. last seven years have been terrible. don't make promises you can't keep or deliver on.

both of Al Macinnis eyes were fucked up and had surgery done on them

its kind of hard to play when your actually blind in both eyes, otherwise im sure he would have pulled and Yzerman and done it

well he had 184 goals and 373 assists in 500+ games, which is pretty damn good, for a not so good scrapper.

he can put up a few points
but your numbers are way off

regular season

games played - 567
goals - 184
assists - 189
points - 373

playoffs

goals - 26
assists - 40
points - 66

i said he was a tool, and he is
he's in the same boat as brett hull, and hull has a lot more points then that but hes also a piece of garbage
