your last name is a character used in my first (korean) name
i can read "this year" too
but that's about it
other than random characters

and insanely difficult! did you know the only way of learning chinese characters is by writing them over and over? you can't just hear what they sound like guess at how they're "spelt" like you do with english words. it's complete memorization.

and to think of all those people who know thousands and thousands of them... :bow:
