i've just listened and here are my thoughts:
Bird on a Wire - I quite enjoyed. However if I were sitting in a field in wherever listening to it as part of the Live 8 concert, I don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much as it's just not that kind of song.
Where Are You? - was awful. While a lots of it was to do with the sound problems, unfortunately not all of the problems can be attributed to that. I'm not sure why they chose to do a brand new song - the Scissor Sisters did the same at the London show and even they got very criticised because these kind of shows just aren't about doing things like that.
Innocent - didn't sound that bad to me. But maybe that was just because it was better than Where are You?

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

i think they chose it because the lyrics had relevence for the occasion rather than promoting thier new stuff.
