I own Troy, it's pretty good. Completely innacurate historically, but good.

This was a horribly mixed show. Whoever was running sound didn't seem to know what was going on. Otherwise the performance just was below par. I'd rank this performance right there with the SARS concert. Really bad. I hope they get to rehearsing a lot before I see them in Buffalo. I was also glad to see an extra musician along with them. I couldn't tell who it was, but I hope that he stays on tour with the band.

howdy long time no write...
everyone is so negative
i love hearing Raine doing rare covers... but i didn't at all care for that cover song.. way too slow and lack of band..
as for where are you-it sounded as if it will be a rockin tune live (in a couple of weeks after lots rehearsal)
I don't mind hearing Innocent..its not my fav song but there was no way that OLP wasn't going to play it today
The mixing was horrible as during WAU the background singing was louded than Raine. Raine looks odd with a beard and vest. he looks like my dad.

I am excited with hearing more new music
after seeing them today i ordered tickets for buffalo
even though they didn't sound great
I've missed my OLP fix

Iam silly.. But serioulsy they knocked out teh link to Toronto/Barrie( it s listed as T.O on AOL) after them.. YOu can see the other cities on repeat but not Canada.. I am beginning to think from all that was written that Canada really was BAD..

which one? about the songs? I wasn't negative except to say Innocnet never sounded that great live. Sorry, but I think I earned the right to say that with all the shows I saw for Gravity..

or see them in Buffalo.. I got my tickets when they went on sale months ago.. One of my friends I think went to this.. She emailed me saying she was going to see Sam Roberts.

just got back from live 8 a little while ago. wanted to miss the traffic so i left early. left right after motley crew, adn caught the finale on tv when i got home. and i gotta agree with everyone, olp didn't sound so great (from a live perspective). it kinda seemed like raine was drowned out. you can barely hear him.

i have no idea who the fifth dude was. at first, i thought it was duncan, then i realized there was an extra person on stage, then i got confused. :freak:

and i managed to find brent in the crowd. *waves* hi brent :)

just to tell ya...all the tech was done in a week,...it was horribly planned...I know a lot of people who were called to work it and no one wanted to be a part of it...it was a train wreck waiting to happen...can't wait for the stories on Monday!

The tragically hip didn't sound like they should of,

And I seen an artest get handed a new microphone in the middle of a preformance,

I think OLP may have been a bit rusty, but I think it was 70% someone else's fault.

Raine being drowned out was the mixers' fault. Instruments not sounding quite right (effects, volume, etc) was the mixers' fault. Raine singing out of key - Raine's fault. The mish-mashed ochestration of Where Are You - the band's fault.

oh, I meant what KC wrote about everyone hating the band's direction/choice of songs, and how he (and I) just wanted to hear them play. :P

OLP shouldn't be picking songs like where are you as singles if they can't even play them live properly.

Horrible performance, but its understandable considering the lack of rehersal. But still, that song will never sound good live if Raine can't sing in the proper key.

Seriously, I think he was out of sink because he was pissed of with the mic issues and he was trying to cope.
