I AM ME wrote:it's funny how all we have to go on is a title, but we're still determined to discuss the shit out of it. It's not that creative but it's a title. leave the damn thing alone, it's like trying to read a book by it's cover.

it's all we have for now, let us enjoy this.

I kind of hope that OLP pull a sort of Green Day in American Idiot and kind of release a CD that blends from one song to another. At least now we're getting some information on teh new album.
Vampires isn't all that bad i suppose, Unusual Ammount of Common Sense was better though

And unfortunately they'll once again be accused of ripping off Radiohead for giving it that meaning. Especially if they draw so much attention to it by making it the album name. But my art was just for fun.

You guys think that the album will be darker than "Gravity" just because of the title being a little darker and prehaps even deeper?

Everyone's accused of ripping off other people some way or another.

What's wrong with talking about the title? No one's saying "Ughh, the title is crap so therefore the album is crap and I'm not gonna buy it". People are just simply stating whether they like the title or not. Of course, when it comes down to it, it's the material in the album that matters so if the album turns out to be great, the title won't really matter at all anymore. Right now, it's news and something for us to talk about.

I think the album may be darker. I get the feeling that it's gonna honestly portray a bad side to the politics out there. While government, corporations, and such our needed in order for our society to function, they can be corrupt and I think this might be what the new album will try to present.

BTW, that album cover was funny!

I don't know if you're referring to anyone or anything in particular, or just asking a general question.

In either case, I think it's pretty rediculous to presume anything about the album by analyzing it's title.

Fine.

Clearly the album title means that the band members are, in reality, real live blood sucking creatures of the night. In fact, by purchasing the album, you're consenting that you want them to come to your house at midnight one week later and drain you of your life's essence.

I agree with Kermit.

While we can't judge an album solely on a title, the title more than half the time has something to do with the album...so it's a start. What's wrong with predicting? If I'm wrong, I'll deal.

What does "Naveed" have to do with the album?

Or Clumsy, for that matter?

How about Gravity?

Without knowing the context of the title (ie, hearing the album) you can't even draw conclusions from album titles like Happiness Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch or Spiritual Machines.

Perhaps if every moniter was installed with a remotely controlled gun.

And I have the trigger application integrated into my browser.

Hmm...get ready for more "deep" analysis...

Naveed means "bringer of good news". IMO, the album had a kinda dark tone to it and what better time to have some good news than when life completely sucks?

Clumsy was an album all about growing up. And I think there's a general agreement in society that your adolescent years are the rockiest of times.

Gravity is kinda harder. The album was about relationships and everyone has ideals on the perfect relationship. But reality isn't always ideal and in time, people need to realize that the root of their relationship (what's there) is what's really important and what they really need to deal with.

Who said anything about predicting the the title meaning is what the album has to be about. We're just predicting for crying out loud. There's no harm in that. Sometimes we're right..sometimes we're wrong. Big deal.
