Fiona Apple finished recording her thirs album in 2003. Sony has indefinately shelved it and it may never get released. Two songs have leaked and they are nothing short of amazing. However, Sony doesn't think the album will sell and they can't decide on a single. Check out http://www.freefiona.com to learn more and for information about the fan based campaign to get this album released. If you would buy the album if and when it is released, write to the address at that site and let them know!

I don't like Fiona, but that definitely sucks. Hope it gets released someday. Stupid Sony.

Sony should just release the album, and then let Fiona out of her contract with Epic so she could sign on with another label or release her music independently. FREE FIONA

Then right when she leaves, grab her again and put her in an attic with bats and gi joe's.

Then, twenty years later we can think about freeing her again.

What Sony should really do is just release it online, on iTunes or something. That way, they wouldn't lose any money from actually making copies of the album and such (not that cds even cost much at ALL for them to make, but regardless, they're obviously afraid of losing money). They wouldn't even have to promote it at all. Then let her out of her contract and she can hunt for a new label.

They are called "Better Version Of Me" and "Extraordinary Machine" (E.M. being the title track). I think they were up on some website and that's where I got them, but I think the site (or at least the songs) was removed. Try LimeWire or another such p2p program.
