i thought that some of the lyrics were a little bit cheesy. i also thought that they had too many ideas going on at once- it sounded pop/punk/rock all at the same time.

I did hear it at 10:00am when my alarm went off, so my judgement may not be the best since it was the first thing I heard on Thursday. I do remember thinking that the song was better as it continued. The beginning, to me, just sounded very, hmm, uncalculated? I don't know if that would be the best word but meh.

after listening to it again- it sounds pretty good- except the beginning- i just find that annoying- everything past like 10 secs is awesome tho!

ive listened to vertigo once on radio and it DID sound just a tad bit punkrocky. i don't really remember but i remember being a lil surprised it was reallly u2.

It is, but the beginning, I find, is unlistenable. There are some parts in the song, i do have to admit, that bring me back to old u2

I love it. I can't wait to see it live.

I like this song off the bat. With Beautiful Day, that had to grow on me. Same with Electrical Storm.
