It's all good and fun to speculate on someone's personality based on Press or one or two encounters. But seriously, do we really think we can completely identify Matt, Raine, Jeremy, Duncan, Mike, Steve, or even Chris' personas based on what we assume is true readings (press, statements)
I find it funny that we can sit here all day and say "matt's a real asshole" or "he's smart and intelligent" based on past happenings, or that OLP sucks since Mike left. My thoughts is that since mike left, olp has made music. Whether you choose to listen to either MG or OLP stuff is your choice, but please guys...no more crying. There's no crying in baseball, nor should there be in music debates.
Why am i writing this? Because i'm going out of my mind writing a speech for a wedding this weekend, and i needed to vent something to someone during my procrastination. I know i don't post much, but i love you guys just the same.

I think the dude above me does have a point. We cant find out what a person is really like from what others say. Because all journalism has a bias, whether towards or against the topic.
However, from reading MG's blog, he is very very intelligent. That is the only unbiased piece of information known about him.

you forgot to add also from people who have met him and spoke to him.
Let's just say this. Matt is more intune with the world then most musicans or singers. He is aware of issues and such. He tries to inform the fans. By doing this it gives you the opportunity to make up your minds. After all Knowledge is Power.

I agree, MG is really aware of what's going on around the world, just look at his posts. I think he's a really intelligent musician. He can be cynical at times but I dont really think he's that arrogant.
