I wrote it in a joking manner cause there was way too much arguing going on. To me an album meant 12 inch record.( ask your parents) As some of you have pointed out, album now means any kind of recording.(see definition) YOu also brought out that some artist today are indeed releasing albums(vinly)

I am from the old school . We bought everything on vinly. CD's weren't introduced until 1983(USA) They didn't start taking off till the late 80's (when everything was released on CD). I remeber it was expensive to get a cd player. I think they cost about $600. Now you can get a cd player for under $25.00.
MY friend and I had this conversation the other night. How when we were between the ages of 12-17 there was no such thing asVCR's (beta max only) Tivo(if you wanted to see a show, you had to watch it when it aired). Internet, PC's , Email, PM's. You wanted to talk to someone you had to call or write. It is sort of funny how in the last 10-15 years the things that have become available due to technology.

You paid $30.00 for an album. Wow, that is alot. I use to pay $.50-$1.00 for a single(45) and a little more for an import. I use to buy alot of 45's imported from England or Japan. Albums were only $3.99-$5.99 when released. I probably make a killing on ebay if I ever sold my record albums. Too bad my cat used the edges of some as a scratching post. The artwork was awesome. That was one of the arguments people had between vinly and cd's. I remember gatefolds and double albums. Oh memories. I can't remember the last time I played one of my albums.
Does it make me old if I remember most of that, too?
