So, I definitely heard one of the lines wrong.. :freak:

The first two times I listened I heard:

You twist and you turn
You're itching your bum

... ... ...

and I was scared.

i'll love you forever
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

Yeah it's definitely "you itch and you burn"

I must say I definitely like the energy compared to Gravity, and I can see Steve whipping out a wicked solo later on in it.

Very different. One thing clear is that thing song seems very political and it won't be Gravity II.

I love the musical aspect, and the lyrics are pretty good...i just dont like the way raine sings the lyrics....too choppy....maybe its just me?
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

It's still a demo, you never know. You remember Jeremy saying: "World premiere?! It's only a demo!"

This is a promising song to me but as far as we know it might never make the album. A lot can change in a few months.

Sounds a lot like the other ones we've "glimpsed" so far.

You think so? Like what? If I could pick an OLP song that sounds least like this, I'd probably pick "Not Afraid".

Which songs do you have in mind?

Thanks Long Jon for sending it.

:wtf: Is Raine trying to be punk now. NO COMMENT

It's not like it sounds "exactly like it", it just has the same vibe. The same choppy lyrics. I don't know, I do like it though. I'm not sure about "God has a gun". That's sort of weird...

This is what happens when Raine watches 4 seasons of Buffy in a row.
-Sarah

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I guess it does sound kinda punk-ish...

The riff and tempo makes it sound so the most, I think. But I don't think Raine has a "punk" voice.

i like the way he sang the song, it doesn't sound like they did too much work on his song (probably none)...his style of singing vampires, is the same style as in bring back the sun. i luv this song, sounds awesome. hopefully its a good taste of what the rest of the album will sound like.
it definately has a "raw" feel to it. why did they have to cut the song short?!?!

Maybe Raine was listening to Avril's Marilyn Mansion CD's when she stayed at the house while doing the record.

BTW, I like punk. Not too familar with some of the stuff today. I grew up on the Ramones, Pistols, UK Subs, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, The Cramps, X, Classic Nouveau and things like that. Funny thing is I thought No Warning sounded like the Offspring's song- The Kids Aren't All Right.

I have to hear it in completion.
