damn lit still makes music
went to the tastefest in detorit and when we got there we found out electric six were no longer playing which sucked. We watched some of Rooney, for which there was seats but left because they were annoying. The entire band were so cocky and acted like they were the shit. The bass player had these huge sunglasses on and just stood in one place. The singer had on tight ass black plants with a shiny red dress shirt and acted like he was god. I cant stand bands like that.
other then that it was fun...ate a turkey leg yummy!

yea they were 12 tickets but the only other place I have really seen them in Disney World so we figured just get it and we got some good corn on the cob too.
There was no reason stated they just put a sticker over their name on the board and I think the band that played were Bang Bang.

RHCPs were pretty damn good as always. However, the crowd where I was standing were bad - why would you spend £50 on a concert ticket and just talk all the way through? Even worse were these annoying clear channel girlies who talked and giggled through the whole thing except for Under The Bridge when they started going on and on about how wonderful that song was and how they wanted the All Saints to die for covering it.
and the 3 Matt Good shows were f-ing amazing. See the Matt Good appreciation thread for details.

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf
Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...
Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...
So glad you could stay
Forever
He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand
You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..
So glad you could stay
Forever

Meh, no big concerts (worth seeing) come to Michigan during the summer. It's kind of sad.
In other words, I should listen to bands that haven't broke up.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
