A slam pit is the one where people just randomly run into other people and then they push the person and the person hits more people.

It was pretty lame.

Especially at The Shins.

Oh...I've been caught in those before. So the pit is just where people stand and jump around and are generally smashed. Slam pit is those circles where people seem to have bitten by an animal with rabies.
