Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Naveed is the only song that hard core fans will accept as their favorite even though it's one of the more popular tracks.

And they're right to do so. :)

after scanning through posts on an arugment I know nothing about I will return to the question of Naveed.

altough I first heard Starseed(in 1994/1995) and got Much Music. I didn't buy the CD till 1997. I didn't even know they had a full CD outhere when I heard Starseed and I never heard anything else by them till I got much. I think that was because Naveed was released on Relatively and when they switched to SONY/Cloumbia alot of stores down here didn't carry the CD.I actually bought Clumsy first.

As for my thoughts on the CD.
When I first heard this CD in it's entirely instead of 4 songs I thought to myself that is sounds so much like U2 to me. I always said that Naveed is the best damn U2 song, that U2 never wrote. I never knew till years later that Raine was a big U2 fan. I only thought this cause I have the U2 cd's and heard the influence.

I love the song Naveed cause I felt it had a great intro. Imean the Bass, then the drums, then the vocal and the guitar brings it all together. Also Naveed is one song that can be done many different ways and still sound good. My favorite song is HOPE. (actually Hope and Naveed are tied for all time fave). I also thought the CD had a great bass line running through the whole CD. Birdman, Dirty Walls, Naveed, Under Zenith. How can you not like the Bass.? Julia is just an amazing song and how can you resist the mini-drum solo or Raine just simply says YEAH!!.? I always felt Starseed had an infectious grove that just moves you when done live. It is odd, but that song always seems to bring the energy level up when played live. Has anyone else noticed that?

For me this CD is timeless. It is one of my all time favorite CD's.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I've never heard the piano version of Julia. I love every song on Naveed except Is It Safe, it really bugs me. I don't like the lyrics

Naveed kicks ass,
I like every single track on that album.

...although,
Dirty Walls isn't that great but i'd rather listen to that than Innocent or Somewhere Out There.

ive been a pretty hardcore fan for a couple of years now (i live in UK, ease up) and i think StarSeed is their best old one... The Birdman is also incredible. im not really a fan of the album as a whole, i prefer Clumsy, from those years

Naveed is my favourite OLP album and my favourite all-time album. Every song is a high point, there's not one bad song. But if I had to pick a few favourites off it, they would be, Birdman, Starseed, Underzenith, Neon Crossing.
