I saw Jet last night (with 3 other bands) - they were OK I suppose, but nothing too amazing. And they made the mistake of playing all 3 of their singles too early on which is no good!
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Yeah, I'm supposed to be seeing Murder By Death tonight, but yeah, I can't go because I have to work. Fuck Best Buy.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I saw Jason Mraz and Gary Jules co-headlining last night. Jason was on first and was really really great - funny and pretty and singing really well - it was just him and an acoustic guitar. And most of the crowd seemed to be there for him - lots of people shouting out requests and stuff. Then he and Gary did a duet of Rocket Man. Then Gary was OK, not bad, but nothing special which was bit of a let down. Then Jason came out again and they did a cover of America (Simon & Garfunkel song) together which was amazing as I love that song :D

i just realized there is a show I want to go to on monday. I don't even have tickets yet. Hopefully I can get them. For some reason, feb. 23 seemed real far away and all of the sudden it's practically here. :freak:

ohh, me without you. I think they are playing with Further Seems Forever and a couple other Tooth & Nail bands. It's at bricks (er, "in the venue")

I've wanted to see them live for a long time. I'm excited, I think it'll be awesome. the only problem now is making sure I actually have a way to get there.

they were a bit too preachy when I saw them which got annoying to me. After every song it would be God this and God that but hopefully becoming a bit more popular they are toning that down a bit.
