It's not just a band if you really like them, which we all do. It would be like OLP going on tour and skipping Canada again. People would be pissed.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I agree, if a band doesn't come around one time then big deal. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I'm within an hours drive of 3 big cities that bands usually come to, but I've never gotten angry to the point where I was "shaking" in fury.

are you trying to tell me that good bands don't come to toronto? your musically spoiled! So many bands and artists will only tour toronto, montreal and vancouver because apparently canada only has three citys.

I cant even drive to places that bands are playing. No one even condicers coming to a godamned rock. We are luckey to see local bands come back and small canadian bands do club dates that I cant get into because I'm not 19.

It is not "just a band." It is two of my favorite bands of all time, ever, together. So yeah. You'd be mad too.

aww, I'm glad someone else feels my pain!

I'm actually considering going to Vegas or somewhere to see it, but that would be kinda expensive. :)

no thanks...

anyways it is just music. I can understand being a disappointed but I think buddy up there was exagerating a tad with her "I'm shaking cause I'm so mad" post. That's the only reason I said that she needed to settle down. I mean we don't want her to have a stroke or anything like that.

I'm passionate about music. It's a big part of my life. Yeah, I was upset to the point of shaking because 2 bands I like aren't coming here. Oh well. :uh:

OK Jim, some people actually care about music. In my personal experience, without music, I'd have nothing. So if a band that I loved decided to skip Detroit (i.e. Bright Eyes) I'd be really pissed off because the music is what I live for. If Koufax decides to not book a show in Detroit this month, I'll be really pissed off because I live for their music. Just because you're not into something as much as someone else, that doesn't mean you have some right to insult their reactions.

Now crying over Brand New....that's excessive. It's just Brand New.

greenwheel concert last night was sweet, the lead singer from the opening band went to my highschool, so he let us go backstage before the show, although since bands always come out afterwards there its not a big deal... The show itself was good greenhweel, was sounding more raw, couple toolish songs, and ryan said being more raw and capturing their live show are what they are trying to capture in the studio next week

The Pixies are doing 2 shows at Brixton Academy in June :D Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. I really hope I can get tickets.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
