Val, her friend Jordan, and I might all go see Belle and Sebastian. That would be marvelous.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

coheed was good... they had the most anti-social stage act ever, but played some awesome music.
i cant really comment on thrice cause i didnt recognize a single one of their songs. but they were pretty fun nonetheless.
thursday blew me away...
they started off decent, but nothing great. it seemed like geoff wasn't trying too hard with his vocals for the first two or three songs, but the crowd was really into it. Then they picked it up, played brilliantly and geoff developed a great stage presence over time. He kept getting almost right into the crowd (standing on the baracade as far as i could tell), leaning forward and going all out. he had some awesome stuff to say about thrice and coheed and their whole tour and "fuck metallica and limp bizkit" and whatnot.
Geoff went insane on the vocals after the first couple songs... they were so good. he even did This song is brought to you by a falling bomb, with a drawn out ending that just killed. he got so into it and it rocked.
they played a near perfect setlist... as many, if not more songs from full collapse than from WATT. they even played steps ascending which i was hoping to hear all week going into the show, and how long is the night, another favorite of mine, both pretty unexpected.
The only thing bad about their set is that i was hoping to hear Asleep in the Chapel and Porcelain. but either way they were amaizing.
we waited around and talk to geoff after the show.. he told us about the meanings behind the new album, and told me what asleep in the chapel was about. he was really cool.
my friend had a drumstic land right in her hand when they finished playing... that was pretty sweet also.

Woo hoo! I am coming up to Ann Arbor on Nov. 20 to see Straylight Run and The New Amsterdams. Happy day. I can see Stephanie then!
