I'd go tomorrow, but the lineup sucks this year.

New Amsterdams tonight. It's indoors, it won't be raining in there, and tickets are $30 cheaper.

I sawed Robbie last night

And also The Darkness, Ash, Moby and Kellly Osbourne.

The Darkness and Ash were both really good. The crowd didn't really do much - but I didn't expect them too. It was a weird atmosphere. I expected Ash to mainly do the new poppier stuff off Free All Angels to kind of play to a pop audience. But they didn't - they mainly did singles that have done quite well - but from all albums. I was a happy bunny.

Kelly Osbourne was truly awful :lol:

Every song sounded rather simliar - and she definately reminds me of a poo Save Ferris wannabee. Heh. She did, however, start yelling at some girls in the crowd who were telling her she sucked. She started going "are you guys serious? The only thing I suck is your brothers cock. You're all dressed up for Robbie, do you really think he gives a fuck what you look like?" etc etc. It was funny :lol:

Moby was quite good. I've never really heard them before - except the songs theyve released which have never really impressed me. They were ok, but I wouldn't bother buying the album or anything.

Robbie was BRILLIANT. He's a pure entertainer, through and through (yeah, no pun intended there). He came on the stage hanging upside down for a start :lol:

. He did most of the predictable ones - Rock DJ (eurgh), Angels, Let Me Entertain You, Strong, etc, etc. I can't remember exactly what he did but I know Me and My Monkey was in their somewhere, Nans Song and right at the end he did a bizarre kind of rocky version of Back For Good (from his ex-band). That was pretty strange. Heh.

So there..

I saw the webcast from that show last night.Over 125,00 people.So many freaking people.

i saw matt good last night, and nothing compares to a matt good show in vancouver, the crowd was so into it, during alot of the songs especially the older ones the crowd was louder than matt, he also played three new songs,"Ex-Pats of the Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra" ,"Little Terrors" which had some kick ass drumming in there,and "Its been a while since ive been your man"

I know, it was mad. took us about 2 hours just to get back to the car. The crowd was so big you couldn't walk. We shuffled for about a mile :lol:

We avoided all the tail backs on the motorways though

They showed it on TV over here - I recorded it and was just watching some of it. I thought that where we were we were quite far back - he was TINY on the stage. But we were only about a quarter of the way back - I feel so sorry for people shoved at the back.

okay, maybe the Cribs thing is just me, but I can't name like 3 of his songs. the only music-related thing I know about him is that gross video of him being eaten.

Cribs is a tv show on MTV here in the US where you get a tour of celebrities houses.Robbie was on twice actually.

Nashville really sucks for concerts. I was realllllly lucky to get OLP here and that is for damn sure. The last show before that was Matchbox 20 and Sugar Ray and American Hi Fi - and I won 2nd row seats so that is why I went but I doooo love AHF. Saw them 2x on tour with OLP in 2001 (and shelia devine was with OLP the other time I saw them in 2001). If I want a good show, I have to driv 5 hours to Atlanta or 3 hours to Louisville, KY.

anyway i saw Thursday, Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop tonight at Jones Beach

I really went to see thursday and b/c tickets were $10 and we got decent seats too. Thursday played: for the work force drowning, paris in flames, understanding in car crash, signals over the air, cross out the i's, autobiography of a nation...only 6 songs but oh well there were only about 30 people in a 10,000 person amphitheatre to see them play. They didnt sound that great live but i think it was b/c it was an outdoor venue. The two new songs sounded pretty good. The singer seems to feel very strongly about the new single, signals over the air which is about being gay in the emo/punk/indie scence which i found interesting to know. They put on a good show for what they could.

Sonic Youth was interesting. They have been around for a long time but i never listened to them. THey are 90's experimental rock they spent most of the set making creative feedback by rubbing their guitars on the ground. It was def. music better when high but all four people sang including a female guitarist who ripped up so that was cool.

Iggy Pop was amazing, the man is in his 60's and looks like he is in his 20'....he was running around like a maniac and jumping on amps and humping them. He was dancing like a burnt out fool and was completley burnt out when he spoke. I wasnt familiar with any of his stuff especially cause it was all Stooges stuff which was his first band.

Well worth my $10 though.
