HELLS YA! hahaa, i screamed it out at the same moment too...man that skater/BMX'er guy at SnoJam in Ottawa got soooo naked. This guy was pathetic, thte girl got like more naked than him!

On another note, OLP ARE NOW MY FAV. BAND AGAIN!!!!!!! they were amazing. Like incredible. Orgasmic. When i was going down to the floor, i said "wow, this is like my wet dream" and the security guard started laughing his ass off at me...it was a bit of foreshadowing as about 1 minute later, after we got onto the floor. who did we see but RAINE. Just standing there, talking on his cellie with his beanie on! he had all these people around him, but they could care less. We asked him for a picture and he responded "do you have a camera?" no, we want you too pose so we can draw you, lol. Anyways. so he was like "ya, but let's keep it low key" (cause no one had spotted him but us and maybe like 2 other people, this was then it was just starting to fill up). So ya, we got out picture (which, btw, means my life is now complete, i've been waiting 6 years to finally meet Raine!) and I told him to play the Birdman, and he said "ya, we are, it's in the setlist...[pause]...it's probably our best live song! [smiles]" So we said our goodbyes, we marveled at just meeting Raine  , and then i thought about all the other cool things i could have said! or how i could have told him we came all the way from Ottawa on a last minute bus!

So ya, we took our front row seats. Noise Therapy - well the only thing they did was possibly make me need ear therapy as i was quite possibly deaf for a few minutes. Treble Charger was good, I've seen them be better, but ya always fun. I was up for their whole set singing and dancing etc, it was fun!

then, OLP. Defining moment. Just what I needed to rekindly my love and obsession. I  this band, this show was amazing. Mind you, I was inthe front row, so i could see through all the lights , hear really well, etc My friend in sec.122 said it was really hard to see at times cause of the lights. But ya, front row, could not get better than that! Duncan, maybe 5 or 6 times, loked down at me and my friend and Baye (who was sitting next too us, nice meeting you BTW) and liked smiled/acknowldged us as we sang along to EVERY word, and just generally rocked out. You could see he was loving the energy from the crowd, and we'd always point at him and he just looked like he was loving what he was doing.

ok, highlights some more:

- Steve. I have to admit, i had my reservations. But my god man, he can wail! lol He actually impressed me and my friend (who used to be obsessed, but has since weened off, but is now back and amazed at Steve). His solos, his energy, he was perfect. I loved it.

- The Birdman. Raine wasn't lying. I love this song soooo much, and it just comes alive. There's so much energy ahh it's the best feeling in the world. PLus, the Birdman Dance. I've been waiting forever to see this again, and it was definitely the bes t part of anything, ever. This dance like defines OLP!

- In Repair. WOW. Never heard this song sound so amazing.

- 4AM. The look on Raines Face as 17, 000 ppl sang along effortlessly and my voice cracked like a pre-pubescent boy. I really Gav'er. Like really, I'm hoarse today. "this is why we make music" - i actually looked bak at the crowd from the very front and was amazed. I even felt inspired. Definitely a moment.

- OMA. While i wish he came to my side, it rocked nonetheless. It was so classic OLP, such a great live song.

- The new intro to IAH, Rockin! and all the jams/solos...man, I need to see this band again.

Other highlights included:

-Randmly running into one of my best T.O friends Liam, who's in Not By Choice. We chilled after the show, and ended up staying at his house. We went to a hotel to see some of the people from TC's crew cause he knws them all, and guess who was in the lobby at like 1:30 when we were waiting for someone? HARLAND WILLIAMS! the guy in Sorority Boys, Something abot Mary, Dumb and Dumber, etc. Hilarious guy, I asked him if he went to the OLP show, but he said he didnt cause he was doing his own show that night! I only asked because at MWB, I saw him in the crowd rocking out to OLP. He asked us how it was and stuff, so he was interested in OLP.

- The guy who's house i slept at lives in the T.O Burbs, in the same Neighbourhood as Raine. So when he was driving me and my friend to the bus terminal the next day, he took a little detour and we drove by Raine's house. Nice place, I'll tell you that! WE were joking about getting out and going to the door and saying "Trick or Treat!". Or like taking the bag of leaves from his lawn and selling them on E-BAY! haha, but ya we were just kidding, this guy is in the T.O Music biz and knows Raine, so know worries.

- Liam's mom wanted to go to the show, so Liam told Brother Bill that he would get his mom to bake him cookies for two tickets. When Liam went to deliver said cookies to him, he was interviewing Raine and Jer. So ya, Raine and Jer dug into the cookies too. Apparently his mom is a good cook!

hahaa, and thus ends the longest post ever. I  OLP, and Toronto is one cool city. Did a little shopping, and little wondering, and a little chilling. I just got home like and hour ago, and i NEED sleep!

~*alana*~

HEY WERE YOU THOSE TWO GIRLS IN THE FRONT ROW ON THE RIGHT SIDE? WE WERE THE TWO GIRLS IN THE FOURTH ROW that accidentally thought those were our seats but really was row 22 not row 4 but then we moved up to row 12

The show was great! My boyfriend and I were in the front row thanks to olp.net and couldn't have had better seats. I didn't get to meet nearly as many CMers as I had hoped but I saw quite a few people I recognized. I couldn't stick around after the show because my friends wanted to go home and drink beer, but next time I'm in T.O. for OLP I'm definitely meeting up with all of you!

sanders020 wrote:Where was everyone sitting. I had section 108 row 3.

Oh and on a side note. People were trying to scalp tickets for 50 dollars. I had 2 extra seats and was next to a guy talking to a scalper, the scalper wanted 50 dollars for the pair, I gave the guy my extra seats) they were 109 row 13, that was a hell of a lot better then what the scalper was gonna give um.)and said no charge. The scalper was pissed, but what was he gonna do. Id take him out.

only 50 dollars?! you know, whe the 9:30 club show(in washington dc) was scheduled for the FIRST time and there was only one show and it was sold out, i called every scalper on the east coast to find tickets. only two had them but they were charging $150! i was kind of surprised to see how expensive OLP tickewts were going for! and i was kind oif pissed too because those are general admission---face value of $20! so i was like " well, ill call you at the end of the week, if you havent sold them yet---which you wont-----can you charge a reasonable price and ill buy them? theres now ay you will sell those at that price!" and what do you kow, i called at the end of the week and they were sold! on the website, it said $55, but when i called, he was like "oh, the guy made a mistake, theyre actually 150!" i think he just realized people were actually interested!
