So umm....fox aired an old episode of Family guy recently and to avoid upsetting the FCC they pixilated out someones ass. Its a CARTOON!!!!
They didn't change it when the episode was on TBS or teletoon or anything so clearly Fox is a bunch of jerks.

Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

i don't know anything about American Dad but it sounds awfully similar... like the kind of title that someone purposely spoofing family guy would use :wtf:

Yeah. The plot is unsettlingly close. Just look at the characters:

Image

The talking and intelligent alien (talking and intelligent dog) paired up with the dirty mouthed German goldfish (talking matricidal baby), along with the father, mother, son and daughter.

My guess is that they began development of American Dad and were committed to it before Fox agreed to bring back Family Guy

Oh that's no guess, you were right on the money, originally seth wasn't going to bring back family guy at all, and American Dad was planned out back during the 3rd season of Family Guy, when they knew they would be cancelled.

They mention some of this stuff during the DVD commentary.

I saw the six minute pilot for American Dad (I can find the link if anyone wants it)... eh. I wasn't too impressed, but I'm willing to give it a fair shot since I've only judged it from six minutes.

Still, the one clip I've seen from the new Family Guy made me laugh a thousand times more than this pilot did.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

My guess is a flop on the American Dad and a wild resurgence of joy over Family guy

Is it just me, or does "American Dad" seem like Joe with legs?
