Alright, I know there's a gamers unite thread, but I wanted to make a thread dedicated to online console gaming. To ask who here has either XBOX live or plays PS2 online. To see what games people are playing and recommend etc...

Lately I've been addicted to Halo 2, Crimson Skies and Star Wars Battlefront
It's eating up all of my free time.

Anyone else here play online? Other than Taylor who's already on my list.

i like playing Madden 2005, i would love to get to play MLB on it.
I've heard the Socom games are good online.

The socom games are awesome 3rd person shooters, it's much more of a realistic gameplay shooter, quite addicting.

is a regular network adapter able to go wireless or do i need to buy a wireless one, more importantly...is there a wireless one and how far back would it set me?

There is something for xbox that allows you to hook up wirelessly, I think I read it works for PS2 also, it's basically just a wireless adapter so that you don't have to install a wireless card. I believe they're like $100 us though. I've never looked into one.

I'm currently playing FFXI a lot because my live account expired, I have another 12 months ready to go, but I'm not going to renew until I buy a 360.

I am. Halo 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3 are mainly what I play. Although I tend to play Halo 2 through the dorm network more than I play it on live. It's not nearly as stressful.
