Do Not Call Registry

I heard this morning that cell phone numbers were going to be released to telemarketers soon. For those of you who live in the States, the number for the National Do Not Call Registry is: 1-888-382-1222. You need to call from the number you want put on the list.

I can't believe they're gonna release cell numbers... that's... so unbeliavably wrong. I can't help but wonder how many car accidents are gonna happen cos of stupid telemarketers calling people why they're driving.

I heard that all the things going around the internet and on the radio are lies, and that by just signing up for the "do not call" thing gives your number to people to call.

OK, so I believe the registry number's good now that I've seen it's an official government website. *signs up*

Well, Cass, if it makes you feel any better, my mom signed our house number up for it months ago (apparently), and we've gotten almost no telemarketer calls here. So it's legit. :nod:

I signed up to the one here and it was great for about 3 weeks - no calls at all. But now they've started again

I don't get as many now though and one of those was from Santa
