Avril Lavigne- Nobody's Home

Post by tasha »

okay, the video has been played in the UK and i got my hands on a copy of it. i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking excited to see this video, because it's one of my favourite songs.

has anyone here seen it? what did you think?

i thought the video was good, but i thought it would be really different. i'm not sure yet. i'm gonna go watch it again, lol

Watching it for the first time right now. Her hair looks really weird in the performance bits. Don't like it. The hobo bits are better but it's too clear that she's wearing a wig.

Nah, don't like it. My Happy Ending was better.

She played it "live" on a tv show here last night. Except she blatantly didn't because a) she was playing a concert in Cardiff last night and so could not have been in a tv studio in London at the same time.
b) the instruments were blatantly a backing track, and I have suspicions about her singing too, though since I haven't heard the song before I could be wrong.

For me the lack of Evan was very disappointing :(

She's playing at Wembley tonight which is more or less just down the road from me. *Thinks about driving down and stalking Shawn*
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

You can't say that out of hand if you didn't see it. I've heard her and her band play properly live before and it just wasn't like that at all. Which surprised me.

I do believe it's called "fall to pieces"

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
