Who is better?

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

Alexisonfire has no singing whatsoever. It's just really poor screaming. At least Billy Talent's singer sings (I actually think he's comparable to Raine as both their voices have an interesting and unique sound to them). Not too mention Billy Talent just simply has better songs.

I'm assuming you haven't eard anything from their new album, they've really matured and there is some singing.

Jawbreaker.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I've never seen Alexisonfire live before. I've heard bits of their stuff, and a friend of mine is friends with them. She listens to crap music, so I can only assume they are somewhat crappy.

I liked Billy Talent's live show a lot.

Ooooooooooh, I can't choose.

Billy Talent has the cooler songs.

but Alexisonfire has the most kick-ass songs.

This is sooooo gonna annoy me.

There should be a "NEITHER!!! THEY BOTH ROOOOOCK!!!!!!!!!" option.

I like both, and I've seen them both live. Each band put on a great show and has an excellent attitude toward their profession.

But, I just like Billy Talent better overall. Screaming is not only tolerated but encouraged for myself... but, Alexisonfire took it to the extreme.

Without you I'm as good as
dead ...

I like them both, they are two great young Candian bands who have bright futures. But I must say I like Billy Talent a lot more because all their songs are different and unique. The singer, Ben I think, has such a unique voice and is a great frontman, even if he does copy all of Lydon's moves.

I hate them both, but Billy Talent's better in my opinion.

Yeah Ben actually sings, his songs are better, if a bit immaturely written. And Ian is a better guitarist. I can't stand Alexisonfire in most cases, but Billy Talnet is pretty cool once you let them grow on you.

The vocalist from Alexisonfire can't scream, much less sing.
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

no the reason why they are named Alexisonfire is because the members were watching TV and saw an exoctic dancer that was named "Alexisfire." And they sightly changed the name and claimed it as their band name.
