Coors Show

Post by liam »

Which new songs do you think will get played.

I personally really like Talk is Cheap and Walking and Circles, though i'm doubting Talk is Cheap will make it to the album. I like Wipe also and i especially like the guitar work in that and the way its kind of blues-ish in its own way.
Obviously (probably) they're gonna play Wipe, but what else will they play from their upcoming album?

And also, is anyone planing on going to the show and recording it?

Personally, I think the only song that they have played recently that will be on the new CD is Not Afraid.

I dunno why, it's just my feeling. And I think we will have definitely heard a single by then.

I don't know about that :freak: Maybe a new song we haven't heard (as I'm hoping) will be the single.

 Maybe OLP will play first and you'll be spared. I am about six hours away...but I figure it's worth the drive.

Anyone know how much a bus ticket costs?

its in august in colorado...there are way to many bad bands playing at in in my opinion. Wipe... will make the album most likely since that is the supposed title of the CD. Im think all the songs they were playing will make it on since they felt so strongly about them.

I bet there will be other dates surrounding this one that we just don't know about yet. I would consider going, except I'm hoping they'll play somewhere nearer to me around the same time, and I'm seeing They Might Be Giants in Portland, Oregon the day before that.

Also, I think Not Afraid, Wipe That Smile Off Your Face, and Walking In Circles will probably be on the album. Don't know about any of the others. I would like to hear what No Warning is supposed to sound like.

if they had a single out at the time of the show and only played one new song from the record, they would play the single.

of course that wouldn't happen anyway... i think the coors show is gonna be full of new songs... it'll be kinda what happened at woodstock. they played happiness as almost the whole set of songs and the record wasn't our yet... i don't even think one man army was released as a single yet. i'm just hoping we get a taper at that show :)

I think Wipe...., Not Afraid, and Don't Ask Why will be on the new album, and Talk is Cheap, No Warning, and Walking In Circles will not be....just my humble opinion though....and i agree we will probably have a single and a release date as well as other tour dates by the time the Coors show happens....here's hoping!!!!!

I think Wipe will be better than Gravity, i think just the fact that Steve is writing and composing himself should be an upside of the album.

Aww this is cute. You all are trying to guess what new songs OLP is going to play. Does anyone else notice that we don't have a tracklisting of the new album yet? Anyone?

I got that a couple days ago. Too bad it's $50 and about two days of driving away.

I would be willing, but the people with cars in my family wouldn't.

actually I saw ticket prices Nikki when I was looking for the link to post. My friend said to me the other night, so when are you getting your plane ticket. Yeah Right. I said I wasn't traveling to see OLP this year except for NY shows and Philly. Besides that is the week I see PRINCE :D

As to where is it. It is Red Rocks Ampitheatre. I keep thinking of U2's Under A Blood Red Sky concert at Red Rocks in 1983.
