SPEARS' NEW KABBALAH TATTOO 'MEANINGLESS'

Pop star Britney Spears is distraught after learning her new tattoo has been spelled incorrectly -- again.

The sexy singer has had a tattoo in Hebrew inked into the nape of her neck -- but the words have been written the wrong way around.

The phrase, which Spears wanted to celebrate her new found Kabbalah faith, is unintelligible as a result.

A source says, "She had hoped it would say 'new year' or 'new era.' It seems she's got the words the wrong way round. It is meaningless and comes as a blow to Britney.

"She's taken Kabbalah pretty seriously and this was a big deal for her."

Britney suffered similar humiliation when she was told last year by her movie star pal Taryn Manning that her Japanese hip tattoo said "strange" rather than the intended "mysterious."



You think she would have learned the first time .. if you're going to get something in another language as a tattoo you better make sure to get a professional check it out first.

Duh...my roomate has a tattoo of Japanese symbols that supposedly say "love, good luck, and harmony" but I bet they really say something stupid. I've heard stories of tattoo artists doing stuff like that on purpose. I think people that get tattoos in languages they don't know are just trying to be cool, but are really being idiots. no offense if anyone has a tattoo like that...it's just my opinion.

I've read about that happening before too .. a lot of tattoo artists will either screw up by mistake and switch the symbols around or I've heard of them doing it on purpose .. one tattooist said he was just so tired of having people come in and wanting chinese symbols. They have a point though .. I mean do chinese people go around tattooing english words on themselves? At the very least, if you're going to get a tattoo in a foreign language, do the research and make sure you at least get it right.

It's ridiculous how many people ran out and got chinese symbols after seeing the Life video by Our Lady Peace.

If the song holds meaning for you etc then at least it would have something behind it and be special for you .. it just turned into a trend .. knowing so many other people have the same tattoo as you just makes it lose meaning .. at least i think so anyway.

The song does hold meaning for me. When ever I feel down(which is quite often), I pop in Spiritual Machines turn on Life. It makes me feel better

i didn't get mine cause people were getting it. I wanted something to do with love and i didn't want some dumb heart and i liked the symbol. plus i actually researched it and brought in picture!

a tiny purple star on the top of each foot (which will be turning into a group of 7 stars trailing around the top of my foot when i go back), a purple star on the inside of each wrist, a caterpillar on my left hip, a butterfly on my right ankle (the first one, and one my cousin did for me) and then flowers/vines trailing around my upper left arm.

i have plans for one on my lower back too once i figure out a design ..
