Pretty Girls Make Graves

Post by joe_canadian »

I vaguely recall one CMer or another mentioning them, but meh.

This band is shockingly good. Tell me someone else here knows this.

If not, and you're in the mood for some seriously beautiful post-punk/indie-art-rock, I highly recommend you peruse what this PGMG has to offer.

Best female vocalist in a rock outfit I've ever encountered, and bass and drums equal in skill and importance to the song structure as the pounding guitar melodies.

Some specifics tracks.

The Getaway
All Medicated Geniuses
A Certain Cemetery
Blue Lights
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

The Smiths took it from a Jack Kerouac quote. Hmm, where have I heard that name before?

Jack Kerouac? K... K... K... Kerouac?

Nope, doesn't sound familiar to me.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.
