Alanis! Avril! Nelly! Sarah! Canada's reigning musical royalty descend upon the 2004 JUNO Awards in style in the live, red carpet, pre-show special CTV At The JUNOS, airing Sunday, April 4 at 7 p.m. (8 p.m. AT) (check local listings), exclusively on CTV.

CTV is rolling out the red carpet - 120 feet of it - for the galaxy of recording stars expected at this year's JUNO Awards. What will they wear? Who will they bring? etalk Daily's Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim get the exclusive red carpet scoop as the stars arrive for the biggest night of the year for Canada's recording industry.

CTV is producing the one-hour primer for the third year in a row. Last year's special was a clear winner in its time slot, attracting 751,000 viewers (2+).

Direct from Edmonton's Rexall Place, dozens of limos will ferry over 300 stars and dignitaries to the JUNOS red carpet. The arrivals will advance through a heated, red carpet tent (hey, it's April in Canada!) in front of covered bleachers containing almost 1,000 cheering fans and a horde of accredited media from Canada and abroad. The music celebrities will stop for interviews with Mulroney and Kim, as well as pose in front of a lightening storm of flash photography representing over 50 domestic and international publications, including Rolling Stone and US Weekly.

Mulroney and Kim will have exclusive access to the biggest names in Canadian music. Among the many who are confirmed to walk the red carpet are host Alanis Morissette; nominees and/or performers Avril Lavigne, Nickelback, Michael Bublé, Sarah McLachlan, Barenaked Ladies, Nelly Furtado, Lillix, Simple Plan, Sam Roberts and Aaron Lines; presenters Fefe Dobson and Shawn Desman; as well as Our Lady Peace, Blue Rodeo, and Jarvis Church.

CTV At The JUNOS features a special surprise celebrity guest reporting from the fan bleachers. The special correspondent will be responsible for awarding some of the "bleacher creatures" with exclusive VIP tickets to the main JUNOS show inside Rexall Place.

The 2004 JUNO Awards, Canada's Music Awards, air across Canada Sunday, April 4 at 8 p.m. local markets, (9 p.m. in Atlantic Canada). CTV will repeat the special in its entirety later that night at 12 midnight ET (check local listings).

CTV At The JUNOS is an etalk Daily Production. Produced by Shelley Ayres, with Morley Nirenberg as Supervising Producer and Jordan Schwartz as Executive Producer. Ed Robinson is Senior Vice-President, Comedy and Variety Programming for CTV. Susanne Boyce is President of Programming.
